Is 62 going to be his permanent number though?

would like to see the Big Cat in the 90's....
maybe flip it to 92, although Vickerson currently has it for now. not sure he makes the team.
    or 95..
62 feels like a Centers number..

We have an expression here in Brooklyn: "...from your lips to God's ears!" By the way, Randy Gregory, another predicted pick for the Jets, had to be helped off the field on his first day of rookie camp.

lol, helped off the field due to lack of conditioning..
if no one was there to hold him up, he would've dropped right to the turf. it was a Joe McKnight moment.

    Wow!

Where in Brooklyn are you. I lived in Park Slope for 8 years 1994-2002 on Prospect Place. I loved it.

Well, I don't believe in luck hence my belief is that this team is improving because of the Front Office competence we finally have. I know that bad things happen, Milliner and Dexter's injuries last season for example but I don't believe it's bad luck, things like that happen all the time, it doesn't matter what sport. I'm just thrilled with this FO because finally the people in it have an actual functional brain. I may not be a Jets fan for that long because of my age (I'm 20) but since I've been one all that I've known is incompetence. Of course I've read a lot about what has happen with the franchise from 1960 to around 2000 (which is when you started to pay real attention to our beloved team). Still, it seems that finally things are starting to work for us, like I said, because of a competent FO.

To my chagrin, I never made it out to the Kensington area. Maybe one of these days I can remedy that.

    OTA notes May 27th

    Leonard's One of a Kind

As Todd Bowles said today about first-round pick Leonard Williams, "He doesn't carry himself like a young 20-year-old. ... I'd say he's got age beyond his years."

The rookie defensive tackle might also have drawing power beyond his position. He's been invited to the NFLPA's annual Rookie Premiere, which starts Thursday in Los Angeles and connects the union's business partners such as Nike, EA Sports, Samsung and Tostitos with the league's "next wave of marketing stars."

All 41 rookie invitees to the Premiere are offensive skill position players. All, that is, but one — Williams.

    Practice Notes

Sheldon Richardson worked at Tuesday's practice but was not out there today. With Muhammad Wilkerson not attending the voluntary workouts, there is some work to be had along the D-line, which meant that today Ronald Talley, the fourth-year pro who played on Bowles' Arizona defenses in 2013-14 and signed as a free agent in March, was getting extended action. ... Chris Ivory, Jeremy Kerley and Dee Milliner weren't at practice due to personal reasons. ... CB Antonio Cromartie declared in the middle of the locker room that henceforth second-year CB Dexter McDougle shall be known as "Cinnamon Badger."

You forgot to mention that he also intercepted the ball and ran it back for a TD with those kids on his back first.

That's why Cro has trouble with short routes, it's hard to change direction when you have an entire football team of small children on your back like a bunch of baby koala bears

C'mon down, or "up" I should say. Kensington was the poor man's Park Slope, but that's changing fast like many ethnically diverse neighborhoods in NYC.

Well thats the way the NFL works. He should be happy the jets have put him in position to have a monster season, if he cant get 10 sacks even in a 3/4 with our cbs that says a lot.

If he didn't go to temple and went to a big time college football school and put up huge numbers like williams he wouldn't be in this position.

    Welcome to the NFL.
