I question every mistake they made on the field today and expect them to improve upon them. Some things they have planned on riding out, apparently. One of them is the hole at NT, one is the lack of any speed rushers, one of them is the hole at FS, one of them is the missing right side of the O-line. Most of these things are personnel issues that won't be fixed until after the season. Other things, like coaching problems, need to be fixed much sooner. Sutton is either a puppet doing whatever Mangini says on defense (which I hope is not the case) or else he is incompetent in the sense of leadership because his unit is flat every single Sunday, never fail. Arm-tackles and missed-INTs and just simple half-assed coverages. But forget about all of that, because it's been the same with all of that since the season started. The problem is that we have been living and dying with Chad since the season began, and Chad was horrible today. I don't know what it is but he doesn't even look like the same player that started the season to me. Having 2 gamebreakers at WR is useless if your QB is playing volleyball.
What you fail to realize is that the real tragedy of the situation lies in the fact that this post could have been made in ANY JET SEASON for the last 20 FUCKING YEARS!
Its insane to be anything but fortunate and glad we are a .500 team right now. Chad has exceeded my expectations, and then some.
nobody expected a 21.1 qb performance. bledsoe got pulled last week and sat this week - too bad mangini doesn't treat all the guys on the team ( blaylock) the same instead of giving pennyboy a free pass. hmy:
He really has not looked right since the Indy game. It's not so much the overall numbers as the picks. He is throwing a bunch of picks now and that is just not like him. I have the feeling the league has caught up to him on tape and people are clogging his usual throwing lanes. That would explain the number of deflection picks and would also explain why he is suddenly lofting so many balls. He just does not look right.
For what it's worth, add me to the list of people who think that Chad hasn't looked right for weeks. I did not expect him to be able to come back healthy, and was amazed by his performance for the first 4 or 5 weeks (despite the supposed "noodle arm"), but it's only natural to wonder if his shoulder has started breaking down again, given how poorly he has played recently. This is not "turning on him," this is noting that his play has deteriorated. With the bad weather coming, if there is something physically wrong with him, it will only get much worse.
