That's probably the dumbest thing i've heard...So it'd be better if Miller DOESN'T return the kicks? Just dive in the wedge and provide nothing for your team? Lemme get this straight...It'd be better for the Jets NOT for Miller to return them? So Miller is the reason why they lose when he returns a kick for a touchdown, ok.
All I'm saying is...Miller is a non-factor...except when he's getting burned for TD's. P.S....if that's the dumbest thing you've ever heard, you should get out more
All you're saying is, a guy who is probably the most explosive KR in the NFL next to Dante Hall or Terrence McGee is a non-factor. He busts an average over 30 yards a return including 2 TDs, 1 was a dramatic one where he himself put the Jets in the lead, only for the defense to fail. Yesterday down 20-3 he provided an obvious spark for the team... So yeah, he's a non-factor...
Miller is a young kid in a big boy league, and he's playing for a group of rookie coaches. He will become an excellent CB, because the pieces are all there. He just needs 1-2 years to get his head on right. I just hope we don't dump him before that. On a side note (because you don't justify a 2nd round pick on ST), his kick returns are nothing short of brilliant.
That makes no sense. Besides being a db, Miller has a job returning kicks. Every team in the NFL has a player returning kicks. Miller is leading the league. He's better than the 30 other dudes doing the same job. Besides the TDs, he's taken it out past midfield 2,3 times and out past the 40 another 3 or 4 times. On some of those the Jets drove the field for a TD and those were games the Jets won. He's doing a fantastic job returning kicks, period. He's a major factor back there.
Champ Bailey would have trouble covering receivers for as long as the Jets CB's have to with the lack of pass rush. When the QB has all the time in the world to throw the ball you can't put the whole blame on the corner. Miller has a ton of talent and I'd rather let him gain some experience now and when the rest of the pieces of the D come together he's a veteran than have a guy like Drew Coleman start who's destined to be a nickel back at best.
