Reid will get votes because they went from 1-5 and dead in the water to 10-5 possible division winners. Not sure I'd agree with him getting it though for the same reason you brought up. He's been coaching pretty much the same team for 3 years. Give him kudos for holding them together when they could've packed it in but I don't necessarily think that should get you a coach of the year award.
Just read the article and I had the same feelings as you. Not taking anything away from Bowles but Gailey deserves a ton a credit for having this team in the position it's in. Rex is a total clusterfuk & the only reason Mehta keeps sucking his toes is because the media has a love affair with this assclown for his headline grabbing antics which write their stories for them. The attitude and professionalism of this team is Bowles, Gailey, Maccagnan, and that has a lot to do with overcoming the adversity we faced during that 4 game losing streak and getting back on track. Rex would have this team beating it's chest acting like they've already won something. There's a lot more to being a successful HC then just having a talented roster.
Sorry. I actually did not intend to post it as a "Reply." Definitely over Reid. Reid coached the same guys to basically the same finish.
I did actually see it on YT yesterday...Arians is definitely a character. If anything he's what we were all hoping Rex could be. He'd definitely make a Super Bowl week more fun.
