Yes, I remember it. I've enjoyed this season, but I knew going in that the team was not going to be a major contender this year. There were still too many personnel issues, and with new systems and over half the roster new, a new CS, etc. When a team is in a retooling/rebuilding mode, I'm not one to trade the future for the present. The future is bright, and I truly believe that within a year or two, this will be a team to be reckoned with. I made a decision that I'm not going to set myself up for disappointment and frustration again with this team. I'm gonna celebrate even small things and enjoy the ride. I want the team to do well and win, but no longer "need" them to win.
Because Wolf was a much better GM than Casserly. He has a better eye for talent and is a better football man imo. Casserly was a pretty bad GM. He's also been quoted a lot on various issues over the last 5-10 years, and more often than not, his responses have sounded like he wasn't very astute.
oh, I thought you had actual insight into the process and what each of them contributed. this sounds like nonsense.
That's cool. Think what you like. Go look up Casserly's record as a GM and look up Ron Wolf's record. If I had actual facts or quotes, I wouldn't have said, "I think Ron Wolf deserves more credit than Casserly." I would have stated it as fact. I didn't mention it before because I can't remember specifics, but I think I also remember reading in an article or two at the time that Wolf did have more input, but could be mistaken about that.
I don't pretend to know one way or another. I was actually hoping to learn something. thanks for letting me down.
