We are hopeful that Martavis will take the necessary steps to develop the discipline in his personal life to become a successful player and a good teammate.” If Bryant meets all the conditions of the NFL’s substance-abuse policy, he can be reinstated in 2017. The Steelers, however, sound like they’ll have to be convinced to take him back.
In the NFL's eyes , yes. And for what its worth , Roethlisberger was never convicted of rape. So people can think what they want of him , but in a case of a millionaire athlete vs. some drunk bar whore , Id give the benefit of the doubt to the guy with everything to lose. But I guess you dont need evidence or a conviction to assume guilt. Im sure you thought the same thing about the Duke lacrosse team and Patrick Kane too.
Man, this guy had an opportunity at greatness and he decided to smoke it away, knowing full well the consequences if he failed another drug test. He could have been the next Antonio Brown, but instead he's the next Josh Gordon, somebody that will be forgotten when all is said and done. As much as I disagree with year long suspension over weed, the guy knew the rules and still failed. What an idiot.
