Don't hate him, but I honestly don't see him as much of an upgrade over what's currently on the roster.
i dont get why u guys want these scrub ass proven to be below average has beens or wanna bees. Like who the fuck wants to root for Mettenberger or some damn Hoyer on sundays? I know U guys hate Geno but at least he's already here.. u guys wanna cut him to sign these bums... just because somebody is a "veteran QB" doesn't mean they're a GOOD Qb. These are all guys that have gotten their spots taken by rookies or other back up QB's in competition.. give it up. Our roster is set. Hate it or love it... Geno or Hack is going to be our opening day QB. At least they are young, home grown, and CHEAP!
We 3 QBs....2 are unproven. Why would we want to add another unproven young QB??? Makes no sense. If the Jets are going to add another QB, it should be a veteran.
He's not a great option , but he has shown ability. Something I cant say about any of the 3 current QB's on our roster.
Let's go get Glennon too and we can play one unproven overrated quarterback a quarter while Hack sits and watches all these scrubs play.
I don't think Mett helps since he's another project, but there's no way in hell I believe GS is better. GS is a known loser with no chance of producing a winning season or being a leader on the team. GS is not better than anyone IMO.
We should carry 16 QB's on the roster and give them each a start this season to see if any may be our QB of the future.

i would say yes, he is in his 3rd year and i think has more of a chance to be something htan geno. he started what 4 games last year? vs. atlanta, houston x2 and new england. he took 6 weeks off in between. in 2014 wasnt he a rookie thrown to the wolves because charlie whitehurst was horrible? 6 starts that year. and lets please remember just how bad that oilers.... err titans team was the past 2 years. to make a judgement on the guy at this point is kind of absurd. in either direction. to say hes a project is fine, to say he is a useless vet is silly. he isnt a vet and nobody really knows what he has got yet.

Bingo. Petty or Hackenberg are the future. Geno is a place holder at this point. Fitz is about the only veteran option that makes sense.
