Thought there was a lot more days to choose from last year. Only once are there 2 consecutive days for guys like me that have to travel and get a hotel room. http://www.newyorkjets.com/schedule/training-camp-2016.html
It's pathetic. Only 6 open practices and all of them on the weekend. Each will be packed to the max. Disappointing.
Agreed, I take the family every year but always avoid the weekends but now that is the only choice. Will be packed for sure.
No Hofstra No Green and White Scrimmage Only a handful of public practices... What's going on with the complete exile of the fans from camp? They always seemed pretty full and merchandise store was busy, doesn't make sense.
Shame that they said fuck Hofstra... Growing up in Hempstead/Uniondale, my favorite thing to do was going with my dad to watch them practice.
You can thank Belichick for sending his goons up to our practices to take notes for that. This isn't the Rex no-ring circus anymore. Bowles wants to run a tighter ship and rightfully so.
Also on the training camp schedule at 1pm on Tuesdays Geno Smith will be teaching young kids how to duck and not get punched in the face by backup linemen. That class will be followed by his "Jaw Healing Tips and Techniques " class for victims of abuse on and off the field.
With yesterday being cut short and today's practice being closed to the public, the Jets now have only 4 open practices all TC.
It seems like they don't care at all. Long gone are the good old days of Hofstra when pretty much every practice was open to the fans. Just wait till they start asking the fans to pay to watch training camp as well.
Going the way of MLB where the average family of 3-4 has to plot going to a single game like it was a mini excursion.
not going the way, it has arrived. family of 4 with parking and food is pretty close to the average weekly income in america. most households think long and hard before dumping a paycheck on entertainment nowadays
