Anybody else worried about how bad he looks so far? I don't have any confidence in his ability to duplicate last season. I still think he's erratic and turnover prone and that his arm is weak. I'm not impressed or even concerned that the season rises or falls with this journeyman who is bound to come back to earth after last year's career year. More than half his passes last night were not even close. And Decker did all the work on the TD.
Our best WR was out and we started an undrafted rookie. Wait until we're a full strength before throwing in the towel....
Fitz always looks like an average QB who makes some throws and misses some throws. Know why? Because that's exactly what he is. I expect him to duplicate last year's season. It's stupid to react to one half of one preseason game with him missing Brandon Marshall and Quincy Enunwa
He didn't look as bad as Eli, so he's got that going for him. I'm more concerned that we are playing some tough defenses to start the year and Fitz doesn't have a good track record against good defenses.
He has looked bad all preseason. It is hard to ignore. He was missing a lot of open guys in the Giants game. It doesn't matter if he was missing starters because the guys he had were open and he was missing them
By your logic, Geno has looked GREAT! If the rookie receiver catches the 3rd down screen and gets a 1st down, the drive stays alive in that 2:00 minute first half possession. Instead, the receiver drops the ball so Geno sucks. Why does the same logic not apply to Fitz. Fitz really does suck and you will all come to realize this by or before mid season when we're sitting at 3-5.
I think Fitz has thrown 1TD and 0INT in limited action this Preseason. Certainly not worth a concern yet. Game 1 the team just got their feet wet. Game 2 they barely had the ball on 1st Team O, and Game 3 they did not have Marshall and played what is supposed to be a solid Giants D and looked alright. Add his whole Preseason up and I doubt it adds up to a full game even.
Marshall will be back and has proved through his career to be an elite WR, Decker is one of the best #2s and Matt Forte will catch a good amount of passes. I'm not worried about Fitz, I'm excited. I'm expecting over 3,000 yards and no less than 24-25 TDS. Last years numbers likely won't be matched but key injuries aside there's no reason he can't continue from what he's done last year, nothing has changed this is his team, his system he strives in. I'll take my chances on Fitz having a more than decent contract year. If for the most part healthy this team should be no less than 8-8, in the playoff hunt in either a newly competitive AFC East or for the final two Wild Card spots. Goal has to be get a ticket to the playoffs and see what we can do 2010 was a long time ago at this point.

fixed that for you. Fitz is just showing how smart mac was to not invest anything over this year in fitz.
