Agreed about this fellow Rogers - I think Bowles, at the least, has to do some damage control before the season starts to sink into the abyss. My guess is that Rogers is the scapegoat - we shall see.
Come on u know its a fraternity and the assistants that tough out the travel and hours, relatively low pay, and show some respect are in line for the step ladder promotions from their mentors and buddies. Don't think the drafts have been too bad as far as depth goes and we do have a stud in williams and 2 new LB's.
He was a good DL coach. About 90% of the defensive coordinators come from defensive position coaches I imagine.
Kacy Rodgers is a disaster and needs to be demoted if not fired asap.I dont think his playcalling puts our players in a position to succeed
It's not so much that Kacy Rodgers is necessarily bad as that we seriously need to shake things up. Clearly there are foundational problems with the defense and it could be that Rodgers just isn't a good fit with what our talent can do. For this reason, I think we should move on from the guy regardless.
Biggest is is trying to force 3 similar DL into a system ...we should rotate them but stick with a 34 and trust that the DL will create opportunities for Maudlin and Jenkins. Seeding Richardson stood up as an olb hybrid is ridiculous and a waste .

There was an article in the Star Ledger today citing who they thought was to blame for the Jets play this season. Bowles, Gailey and Mac were all named. For some reason, Kacy Rogers wasn't.
Bowles should be named - He is the HC and the buck stops with him. But Kacy should also be noted as a huge part of the problem right now. Every game receivers are getting WIDE open. This is inexcusable. All of our problems on defense are coaching problems - not talent problems imo. If they can't get their shit together next game I would ax Kacy without blinking.
This is Bowles defense. Don't be fooled that Rogers is the one coaching the defense. He's simply helping Bowles. Rogers would be replaced by someone else who run Bowles defense.
