Would hurt to get rid of a 2nd round pick who has played only a handful of games, but will there be room for Devin Smith in 2017?

Just spitballing - Marshall, Decker, Enunwa, Robby, Peake, Smith, Jalin Marshall

I guess you could keep Smith and dump Jalin?

Need to see Smith get some gametime this season before we can even see if he's worth keeping/recovered.

Active today though. Maybe he physically isn't there yet.

I'm sure every catch Anderson makes has got to get Smith thinking. Its gonna be hard to get him back on the field. If he wasn't on the field today, I don't think we'll see him this year. Not good for a 2nd rd pick but then again, its a Jets 2nd rd. pick.

I hated the pick when made.
Always thought he would be a bust.

I think the best we can hope is someone throwing us a 4th or 5th round pick for him on draft day.
He won't be on the roster next year.

How does it affect Devin Smith? Well it doesn't, he's done nothing to be locked in for a roster spot. He'll compete in training camp just like anyone else coming in and Peake/Marshall will. Would be very surprised if Decker and Marshall are both back considering Enunwa and Anderson have performed the way they have.

Yeah bring him back for a training camp (he's still under contract) let him compete and if he can't beat out anyone then we cut him and move on. I am pissed we used a 2nd rounder, but between Enunwa, Peake, and Anderson, we look like we have a future at the position.

Petty said he's most comfortable throwing to Anderson. You gotta remember where Petty came from.....buried on IR for half the season, then buried on the depth chart until a few weeks ago. He has almost zero chemistry with any WR on the team. He needs a full off season with guys like Devin Smith before they can connect in a real game.

Why would we not bring them both back? I'm sure without Marshall Enunwa isn't having as good a season. Decker in the slot has been great for us?

Smith is far more valuable now than he was with Fitzpatrick under center-- why wouldn't we bring him back?

I'd like to see Smith the rest of the way and not Jalin... I've seen enough of him..

Wouldn't you think it hurts Brandon Marshall more since we can use the cap space?

He has to be on the field before you can make a determination on his future with the team. Next year is his make or break. Don't see him doing much with a murky QB situation.

See what he has next off season. I don't think we'll be keeping Marshall and Decker long term. One or the other but not both at least not with a full rebuild looking us in the face.

I'm surprised Devin Bust made the team this season.

He should be off the team.

The WR corps is the strength of the Jets team right now them and the d-line. Guy hasn't done anything to earn a roster spot, they have more productive, more proven young WRs than him already.

This bust isn't going to magically turn into OBJ. Admit the mistake and move on.
