might just as well do a total rebuild. dump as many high $ contracts and clear up lots of cap space. consider this year as year 1 of the rebuild. resign yourself to the fact that the next 2 years at least are going to be painful to watch.
The Giants were 6-10 last year and made the right moves in free agency and now are a contender. If Mac makes the right moves in free agency i think we can compete for a wild card. The secondary needs to be top priority, its the reason for everything bad happening with the defense,it effects everything.
The secondary needs to be completly rebuilt.Maybe the d line would get more pressure if guys arent always open.Secondary ,linebacker and oline then QB.
With this many holes to fill, Macc certainly has his job cut out for him. If the BPA D candidate is higher rated than the BPA O candidate in the first round, you go BPA/D or trade back for more picks. Macc is gonna have to figure out which way to go: either stockpile picks by trading back or go for the immediate payoff spending our #5/6 draft position in every round. He'll make his bones this upcoming April with the roster upheaval that must happen. His theory of "competitive rebuild" turned into a trainwreck for the Jets. IF he prunes the roster of bloated contracts and useless veterans, he'll have quite a bit of cash on hand to work his magic again assuming he still has any. Woody if you're listening, Keep out of this. Take the Ambassadorship in the UK and go represent. Just do not interfere anymore. EVER..
Too early to talk about how that schedule looks, since at the moment the Jets feel like a complete mess and embarrassment. Pretty tough road schedule though. Home not much easier either.
They should schedule the Jets to play Saturday night every week next season. If they want to play like a college division III team let them play the same night as them.
Looks like its going to be another tough season next year. That's a tough schedule. I think its going to be around 5 years before we can even sniff the playoffs. Maybe when Brady and Belacheck retires. At least the tickets will stay cheap. This has become a dead end franchise for the last 6 years, and its not going to change anytime soon. When this starts going the other way it might be the longest stretch of bad football since the 70's
Wake up. Look at the teams the Jets faced last year and the way that those teams are playing this year. Good teams have shit years. They always bounce back, unlike us, but they do have bad years. Early schedule predictions are fucking worthless. The good ol Jets could find a spark next year and win half a dozen games early with a crap QB and a bunch of struggling opponents. Then stumble into 3 more wins against bad teams. And Jets fans, they would rejoice! You'd be singing high praise. Until the Jets do what Jets do. Fail. And Woody will sit up there in the owner's box with whatever diplomat he's hosting, explain that next year is the year of the Jets, and watch that guy walk out of the box giggling at him. But hey! Next year we have a chance! Until we suck. This is what bleeding green really means.
This almost guarantees that the Jets first 5 games will contain KC, CAR, ATL, OAK, DEN, and NO. They love stacking the schedule against the Jets. This year along with 2014, they faced most of the tough teams right at the beginning. I bet it happens again. Apparently somebody on the Jets pissed in the schedule makers' coffee.
