Hilarious. I needed that laugh on an otherwise grim week (month) for Jets news.

This was my reaction when I realized the same thing the OP did:

You talking about the sideline play early in the game? As bad as it looked, oddly enough, it was the DB who got the concussion.......not Fitz.

In honor of the greatest heist in NYC's history:
    Lufthansa Heist.jpg
The Lufthansa heist was a robbery at John F. Kennedy International Airport on December 11, 1978. An estimated $5.875 million ($21.4 million today) was stolen.

Looks like Fitz won't come close to the Lufthansa Job, but a nice haul at $12mil by any standard. Adios MF'er!

And to think, he turned down the first $24 million, 3 year deal Mac offered him. He would've out done the Lufthansa heist if he just accepted it. :p

Id love to blame Fitz for losing his FitzMagic along the way, maybe during his holdout.

In all honesty, it was the loss of Chris Ivory and his early season 'take no prisoners' heroic running style and even more, losing Eric Decker, the better half or our unstoppable pass catching duo (plus some kid named Q-ball Quincy Enumwa) coming on strong. But even if we had Ivory early and Decker all season, Fitz's super quick release probably wouldn't have saved him from our decimated O-Line this year.

Here's to a good game tomorrow to finish off the Bills and to finish off this forgettable 2016 season.

Most of this board wanted this noodle armed, career journeyman, one year wonder back for 2016. This season by Fitz proves that a player is what he is in his 30s and a break out season is clearly an outlier. Yo don't figure the game out after 10 seasons with five different teams. Plus, his attitude sucks. To think, he wanted $18 million a year for multiple seasons and "settled" for the contract he got.

Fitzpatrick gave us a fun season last year and I loved the chemistry he seemed to have with the team and his gung-ho attitude. As a Jets fan for more than 30 years I've learned that a fun season is nearly always followed by an absolute jaw-dropping trainwreck the next year, so I can't say I'm surprised. I'm still grateful for last year, but I know it's over.

As I think back, what Fitz gave us was two more years of mediocrity, and the sad realization this organization is totally incapable of selecting and/or developing a young, talented QB we can be proud of, someone we can rally behind and lift this team once and for all from the bottom of the NFL barrel.
Resigning Fitz probably set us back two more years with no fucking answers. Keeping our current CS will further guarantee mediocrity, and highlight the fact we are not smart enough to even see what our problem really is. Lack of leadership, ability to change the schemes to fit the talent, and strategic football wisdom are glaring gaps with no solution in sight.
