    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...trongly-to-gil-brandts-alltime-greatest-lists

    These are just awful.
    Some highlights:

    - Ezekiel Elliott appears at 26th of the runningback list.
    - Brandon Williams, nose tackle for the Ravens is on the defensive tackle list.
    - Alan Page, former NFL MVP is ranked 11, only two spots ahead of Refridgerator Perry
    - Alex Mack and Travis Frederick are above Kevin Mawae
    - Mike Singletary is ranked 16th for linebackers
    - Malcom Butler is ranked 20th and above Ronde Barber, Lester Hayes, and current players better than him Josh Norman (30th), Aqib Talib (23rd).
    - Eric Berry is 9th, Troy Polomalu is 2nd and above Ronnie Lott (5th) and Ed agreed (4th).
    - Jason Witten is only 14th and behind Rob Gronkowski (5th) and Greg Olsen (13th).
    - Dan Dierdorf appears on the center list despite starting only 9 games at center that I can find and spending the majority of his career as a tackle.
    - Zach Martin is 14th, ahead of both Steve Hutchinson and Alan Faneca

I'll edit and add some more as I go through them.

Gil is getting too old. I heard him speak somewhere recently and thought the guy was losing it a little bit.

When putting together a list of the greatest players of all time you want someone with some experience of course to give the older players a fair shake but at the same time you don't want to have someone who is losing it. Tough task.

Ronnie Lott is the best safety of all time, how can you have him 5th?

Elliott on the list is laughable.

One of the most puzzling ones is Brandon Williams making the list. I've heard the name, but in all honesty I had to google search him to find out anything about him.

Elliott made the list over; Ricky Williams, Corey Dillon, Fred Taylor, Shaun Alexander, Clinton Portis, Priest Holmes, Jamal Lewis, Tiki Barber, just to name a few.

Not to say I think those guys should be on the list. But they certainly have more decorated careers than Elliott does at this point.

Bo Jackson was a hell of a runner and might be one of the most talented players to ever step foot in between the lines. But he's ranked 14th with only 2,782 career rushing yards. He never rushed for 1,000 yards and had 16 career touchdowns.

These are lists without analysis and simply career achievements listed. He's ranked ahead of John Riggins, Larry Cszonka, Thurman Thomas, and Jerome Bettis among others.

It's quite sad. I've always liked Gil but some of his articles over the past year or two have been totally incoherent. Either he's losing the plot or he's being coaxed into being controversial for the sake of clicks.

I'm not a stat hound by any stretch, but something is ringing a crappy bell about the Jets having the most negative yardage in a single game. Late 70s? A team effort that I blocked out and don't rightly remember. Thank God.
