And if Bell signs here, everyone will say how great Mac is again. Though my opinion of Mac won't change, considering if we do land Bell, we're going to be paying a hell of a lot of money. The only way I change my mind is if we win this season.

 

Completely agree. I'm holding judgement until we see how this shapes up. Once the Bell deadline passes there will be other moves to make. It's far from over. You can't expect to snatch up every premium free agent.

Do you really believe there is some kind of special deadline for Bell? Is there a particular reason you would believe them if Bell and his agent showed up on ESPN and said that they intended to sign with a specific team at any time before they actually could sign with anyone?

Mac just held firm to his price even with all the other rmors flying, starred down Bell and made him blink. 13mil/year!!! No one thought this was possible a month ago. Great job.

 

In the past couple of days we've picked up a Pro Bowl guard via trade, a Pro Bowl LB, a Pro Bowl RB, and the top slot receiver in free agency.

Are we better than we were a week ago? Yes.

Now? #1 RB and top 3 offensive threat this year.

Would have HATED Macc if Bell walked elsewhere. Now... I love him even more.

I think ppl want a GM to be great right off the bat. And sometimes it's takes a min. I think Mac has learned from past mistakes and is slowly becoming a good GM. He knows what he wants he goes after it and if it happens great if not he always has a plan B. That's the one thing I like. Now let's hope the coaches can put the players in posoposi to succeed, unlike that last guy. Draft will be huge in getting a center and I'm sure he's gonna draft one just who and when. Then shoring up the Cb position and edge rusher some.
