So if Kawhi goes to the Lakers, I would expect Durant to stay in Golden State. Philly and Milwaukee would be the clear favorites in the East to go to the finals then.
Those 3 would be about equal imo. The East is going to be really fun, and the West is going to be crazy.
I don't want Durant anymore. Not after his ACL injury, only because he's aging and not a guarantee he won't be a shell of what he once was; but if we do sign him, I'll be estatic only because I'm a Knicks fan who can't be too greedy ala we've sucked for so long. Irving and Leonard would be my ideal off-season.
Just when the Celtics offseason was looking like the worst in decades, they are close to turning it around. Kyrie became a train wreck and he everyone wanted out of that in the end. Kemba is a great replacement if they get him. If Horford leaves, that will really sting. He was the most consistent celtics the past few years. Only a high end center signing will ease the pain, but his passing is going to be sorely missed. The Nets are Kyries last chance to not destroy a team from the inside. He's not a leader, i don't watch the Nets so i don't know who theirs is.
Agreed, but if Durant teaming up with Kawhi is the only way Kawhi comes to the Knicks, then it's well worth the risk. Yes, I would rather get a healthy player, but Durant is head and shoulders above the rest. Leonard on the Knicks is a wet dream. I'm hearing Kyrie just agreed with Brooklyn, so it is still possible. I'm pretty sure only the Knicks and Clippers have the cap to accommodate signing both, but Durant could join Kyrie.
Yep Kyrie is going to Brooklyn, first stone to fall. I think Durant only has 2 options now, stay in Golden State or go to Brooklyn. I think part of this depends on what Kawhi does, if Kawhi goes to the Lakers then Durant cant justify staying in Golden State, if Kawhi goes to the Clippers, Durant should go elsewhere and try to win.
So Kyrie to Brooklyn. That leaves Kwahi and Durant still available for Knicks. Can they land both? And if they do, is RJ Barrett good enough to carry them over the hump so Knicks can win Eastern Conference?
Why? Why do the Knicks deserve so much hostility? I haven't been a serious basketball fan for decades so I don't care at all, but I've never understood why people take such pleasure in making fun of unsuccessful New York teams. All the Knicks did was try to position themselves to be able to go after top free agents, just like a half-dozen other teams. If they don't end up getting them it's a failure for them, but I don't understand the glee over that failure.
That looks good for the Knicks or Nets, I don't see why he would have to make a big announcement if he were going to just stay in Golden State.....im leaning toward the Nets honestly but its just a guess.
Could be Clippers as well. I am good with either one. Due to my Brooklyn connection I like Nets more than Knicks but I will be almost equally happy if he ends up in Knicks. I hope it isn't the Clippers. One thing that gives me hope is that I don't think he will want to live in the shadow of LeBron by going to Clippers.
I just get tired of Knicks fans being so entitled to deserving a great team because they're some "historic" franchise. I've heard over, and over again all the fruitless theories about how they're going to be amazing again, and I just don't want to hear it. So if they get nobody, I just think it would be funny. I thought their idea of ditching KP to open up Max slots was really idiotic, but we'll see what happens.
If your leaving golden state to improve your legacy following kyrie to Brooklyn does not help that cause.
