Where do Coles/Cotchery rank among receiving tandems?

Only ones that are better in my opinion:
    1. Bruce/Holt
    2. Harrisson/Wane
    3. Chad J/Houshmanzadeh
    4. Bolden/Fitzgerald

    About equal:
    1. Keyshawn/s. smith
    2. Owens/Glenn

All 6 mentioned are far superior sorry. Chad has been throwing often and easy, that is why the tandem has some many catches.

I do love both are recievers, don't get me wrong.

You gotta be crazy to think they stack up with Keyshawn/s. smith or Owens/Glenn, absolutely crazy.

Why? Obviously smith and owens are the 2 best in the game but keyshawn and glenn are past their primes.

    Coles/Cotchery-158 catches, 2,105 yards, 11td's

    Owens/Glenn-140 catches,1,961 yards, 17 td's

    Smith/ Keyshawn-142 catches, 1,851 yards, 10 td's

I said 4-6. But they will get better as time goes on, and will be top 3 maybe as soon as next season.

To look at things differently, which tandem is MOST SIMILAR to Cotch/Coles?

I'd say Owens and Glenn right now, especially since Glenn has always reminded me so much of Coles.

I'd say right around 5 or 6. The first 4 you wrote are probably better and i would say that they might be even with Owens/Glenn.

11 tds behind them is kind of sad IMO. but i smile at the fact our 2 WR's can have more touch downs than Steve Smith and ANY WR, let alone a red zone target like Keyshawn.(not calling him great cuz hes past his prime, but id be chucking it to him inside the 20 thats for sure..

Andre Johnson and Eric Moulds should be on this list.

I think they are around 6 but when you add the experience of J Mac and the versatile Brad Smith, you could make an argument for top 2 or 3

I wouldn't mind them as my wide recievers. They do belong on the list, I agree.

Moulds is pretty much awful at this stage in his career. Williams/Furrey are having nice years in Detroit those are the only other guys I would put ahead of Coles/Cotchery that aren't already listed. If Horn could stay healthy he and Colston would make a pretty dangerous combo.

Branch / Darrell Jackson and Booker / Chambers are in the Top 10 as well. Colston and Horn if Horn was healthy.

What I like about Coles and Cotchery is that they both are excellent after the catch. They don't make the grab and dive (Holt/Bruce), run out-of-bounds (Wayne/Harrison) and don't shy away from contact

Its hard not to say that Owens and Glenn are tops, even though I think Owens is the most annoying person on earth, and he does drop a lot of balls. So youve got them, Harrison and Wayne, Johnson and Houshmanzada... and then Id tend to say Coles and Cotchery. I love what these guys bring to the game, it takes a lot more to make them stop gaining yards than the average receiver.

Steve Smith is one of the top receivers around, but Keyshawn is a bit player at this pint in his career. Isaac Bruce is on the edge of retirement, still productive though, theyve gotta be top five I guess. Ive never been a huge fan of Fitzgerald, although Boldin certainly is talented. The true test, for me, is if the top guy went down, would you be comfortable relying on the second guy. Coles would be missed, but I would have no problem depending on Cotchery to be the top guy for a couple weeks if need be. I dont think I could say the same thing for Bruce or Keyshawn, or even for Houshmanzada for that matter (I think Houshmanzadeh has Peerless Price syndrome a little bit from the days when Price played opposite Moulds and was having 1000 yard seasons).

The most important thing is that theyre a great fit for each other and for this team. Neither of these guys ever stops trying to gain those extra yards until theyre really, really down, I think they take pride in that. Mostly I like them because neither seems like a role player or like they wouldnt be where they are without the other guy, both are complete players with a well rounded skill set rather than just relying on speed or height.

i think you also have to factor in systems as the jets are a pass happy team.. some of these combos are doing great with 1,000 yards rbs on there teams.

Yeah but when you can't run the ball that makes it that much harder on the receivers so in that case Coles and Cotch get extra points for that.
