^ I think he has it, especially if the Jets go into the playoffs.

Drew Brees?? He started 16 games last year. Don't you have to have missed significant time on the football field to be considered for this award? To answer the question, YES 100% Chad should be the CPY..

So how many games did Brees miss last year?

A severe injury falls in the CPY award (I think)... and he had one.

    What do you mean "almost"?

He took a team that was supposed to be 1-15 to PO contenders. after 2 Shoulder surgeries. Yes he had his highs and lows, but he is still in there.

Palmer was hurt in the Playoffs. Brees in game 16. What did they come back from?

Overcoming a lack of playmakers on their teams?

Brees and Palmer certainly both qualify under the guidelines laid out here.

If it doesn't take a look at Deuce McAllister, Darrell Jackson, Javon Walker and Kellen Winslow. All above Chad in my eyes. Sure Chad should get mentioned, but it would be a Homer mentality to think he should win it. I never come out with comments like that and I really feel that way.

brees has it locked up - going to new team, new scheme, nothing expected, and putting up over 4000 yards

And with that post, you have lost credibility.

Hell, why not put up Terrel Owens name.

I lose credibility over Winslow? Explain why. I can see that he didn't have any "real" season stats to back it up but he was expected to be a great TE. After his injuries thats exactly what he is doing. The only thing holding him back is the lack of prior experience to show for.

He was a tool who smashed himself on a Motorcycle. He is a cheap shot artist and a loud mouth.

I still don't understand how I lose credibility... Severe injury... out for 1 3/4's of a season and comes back to perform as a top TE in the league.

I am in no way a darksider and take a very unbiased look at the league and our team as a whole. I just don't see him getting it. Grossman will probably even get it over Chad...
