    Who do we root for?

Washington to see the Giants complete their utter collapse

    OR

Giants so that we get a better draft pick?

I'm rooting for the Redskins. The draft pick is a crapshoot.

I want to see the Giants fall to 7-9 on Saturday, so that the Falcons, Panthers, Rams, and Packers will all be alive on Sunday.

I'm rooting for the Giants. Don't hate them and would definitely like to see Tiki make the playoffs.

Redskins, one wopping spot in the draft doesn't matter to me more than watching all the giants fans cry.

Giants as alway, but I don't have faith in them anymore this season.

I'll be rooting for the Giants so I can have a nice laugh at the week long talk of how through it all the Giants managed to make the postseason and now anything can happen. I'll enjoy even more watching them get their skulls kicked in at the end of that week.

I can't agree. The NFC is so bad that I can see the Giants winning a playoff game, as bad they are. I would be far happier to have them lose 7 of their last 8 and end the season in complete disarray.

IMO the only reason to root for the Giants to win is that it might prompt them to not fire Coughlin, and to keep Eli as the QB, thereby continuing to set the team back for years to come.

    That would be hilarious.

The following is a huge stretch, but it would be funny.

Imagine the Eagles winning the Super Bowl without the services of Donovan McNabb and Terrell Owens.

Getting to the Super Bowl I don't think is the huge stretch. Winning the game is the huge stretch.

The Eagles lost to the Saints in New Orleans in the last moments of the game.
    They have defeated Dallas.
They could probably beat Seattle and could give the Bears trouble. I still have no reason to trust Rex Grossman in the playoffs and the Bears simply do not defend their home turf in the playoffs.

I don't think anything short of a SB appearance is going to save Coughlin. With the way the team has played over the last few weeks(not just execution wise) it's pretty clear even to a casual observer that he's completely lost the team. With Tiki retiring they need to blow the team up and decide if they're going to go forward building around Manning.

This is part of the problem with 3rd's scenario - it is not a huge stretch for ANY team in the NFC to get to the Super Bowl. The easy pick is Chicago vs. Dallas or New Orleans in the NFC championship game, but it wouldn't surprise me if only one, or even none, of those three teams makes it.

People have been waiting the last 4 or 5 weeks for the "real Giants" to show up. I think we've reached the point where we can safely conclude that we have been watching the real Giants these last couple months.

They've been playing pretty consistently awful for well over 2 months. The 6 out of 7 losses is bad enough, but the 2 games before that the Giants had lackluster efforts against Tampa and Houston at home, 2 of the worst teams in the league, even though they managed to pull out both games. Sure, with as weak as the NFC is the possibility of a playoff win always exists, but the Giants chances of stringing together 3 good games in a row is almost nil.

The Giants should patent the end of the year collapse, was this the 3rd or the 4th time they've done this since pre-Fassel years
