I didn't "Define" anyone. You deduced that I said something that I didn't . I commented on their rookie seasons but you equated that to me "defining" who they are as players. Q also had a horrible rookie season on was (rightfully) criticized but anyone calling any of these players busts or giving up is a joke so why would you think that people who are being critical of players means we are defining them after 1 season? Maybe YOU need to stop jumping to your conclusions
it is absolutely a concern. mims is really concerning, i dont see him playing like a 1 receiver and he was out constantly and you are correct comes up looking injured every single time he gets hit. becton also became a concern for me as the season went on, what did he miss 2 or 3 games with various injuries? shoulder, ankle, chest. i worry about a guy that size staying healthy to begin with. seeing him injured that many times in the first year raises definite concerns. however he is the real deal and has the opportunity to be VERY good.
Becton stated he wants to lose weight during the offseason so maybe with a full non-covid (hopefully) offseason program he gets in better shape. I also think it he can refine his technique that should hopefully put less stress on his body.
The things people used to say about Anderson being skinny and him getting snapped on the field of play, we are still waiting to see that happen, the only thing I remember is when a CB stood on his ankle running down the sideline. Mims like you said looks in pain every time he is hit. The hamstrings are the major worry for me though, they are notoriously hard to heal properly and seem as if they ready to pop at any given moment, granted I am not a pro athlete or ever been built like one but I was soccer fit and could run all day long and was fast over football sprints but the day I popped a hammy it was never the same again, now a conditioner coach may make all the difference on this score but I never had that luxury lol
I’ve mentioned before, a lot of fans look at their own teams and think Oh My God! So many injuries! But you have to look around the league compare. I don’t think the Jets had way more injuries than any other team, it may have just seemed that way early because the WR corps in particular was pretty damn banged up. People freaked out about Marcus Maye early too but it has not been an issue long term.
he’s no Randy Moss. But he has plenty of speed. He’s 6’3”, 210. Not sure what questions of speed have been, no one has raised an issue about speed with him.
It's not speed, it's quickness. But he's got excellent hands, an enormous target area and is strong as an ox so really who gives a shit.
its such a big i like him too. i just worry about his availablity, hopefully he was a little snake bitten this year and can be healthy from here on out.
hes a big bodied guy. I think he has more long speed then say, AJ Brown, who’s a bit more physical. I say he has a very good combo of size where he will fight for yards with contact and has the speed (long strider) to break away. This offense was hard to see if he could but he showed he has the skill set to at least be a #2 WR IMO.
