It was reported on ESPN Mike & Mike show today he is going to be traded back to Minny for a 3rd round pick
ALSO: Rumors That Shell Will be Fired (Shocking)(He was the epitome of "stop gap" anyway) http://www.baynews9.com/content/40/...?title=Raiders Coach Ignores Job-Loss Reports
This should be in the NFL Forum. Rumor is now Oakland may keep Shell just to spite the NFL Network reporter who said he was going. I wouldn't want Randy Moss now, and I wanted him big time a couple years ago.
3rd round pick. Maybe the Jets should try to get him. I know he has a crazy cap number though. Reunite him with Chad.
Better Moss than TO, who some people were DYING to have last year. I don't know if I'd want Moss though. I know he can make plays and he has a history with Chad, but he has sulked so much in Oakland, I question his heart and desire.
Id trade for him for a third we would definetly have the best wr core in the league. A couple of years ago he did want to get traded to the jets to get back with chad.Im sure he wouldnt mind getting traded to us since we are good again. He is still young in terms of a wr (gonna turn 30 in Feb).
Cotchery. You cannot bench Coles. And if that happens, I think Justin McCareins becomes the highest paid 4th WR in NFL history!
The Raiders would be lucky to get a 3rd rounder for this clown. This guy hasn't been a legitimate #1 for 3 years, never mind an elite WR.
BZZZZZZZ. Wrong answear. Neither. We don't need Moss. But just for the sake of argument I think that Citch may well be the #1 WR for the Jets next year
Moss is a Cancer just like T.O. has been to the Cowboys. No thanks I wouldn't let him come here under any circumstances.
From Chris Mortensen's chat this morning: Chris (Bozeman, MT): Any chance the Vikes make a play for Moss in the offseason? Chris Mortensen: No.
Unless he was willing to negotiate his cap number down to a pittance, the Jets have FAR better uses for money than for this guy. Even if he was still good (which is highly questionable), the goal is to spend money so that each dollar gives you the greatest increase over what you already have. The improvement he would bring to an already very good receiving corps is marginal at best. The Jets need to be putting their dollars into places of real need, if at all possible.
I seriously doubt if we go for Moss. I don't think we would pay him the money and I really doubt we give up a pick. Plus, given the receiving corps we have, I do not see how Moss makes us vastly better. I just view it as a total waste. We need to get more beef on the O-line and we still ultimately need an oak tree at NT on D. DRob has improved, but is not the long-term answer. TJ Mosley is still a work in progress. We do need a punishing, bruising RB, like a Beattis type of guy - somebody to really wear a Deffense out. Somebody to truly compliment Washington.
I agree 100% ,If moss was a juggernaut on a really bad team then I would say why not but he's got nothing going on this year or last year .I know he's injured(Mentally or physically ??) , But not worth the money or the headache. I can just see him on the sidelines crying to Chad that he’s not getting the ball or he was open....No thanks
yea its true....i was a big randy moss fan when he came out of college....but in recent years he's just been a cancer......too bad the guy is gifted.....
More than likely McCairens will be gone in the off-season. And NO I do not want Randy Moss and him coming to NY will not happen. I thought people were excited by the emergence of Jerricho Cotchery. I guess not.
With an emphasis in Schott's offense including WR's being good blockers the only way Moss will be in Green and White is if he's playing his home games at the Linc.
