I have not seen a thread on this and it is something that I have debated with some buddies. Who is the offensive rookie of the year this year?

There are so many talented rookies that could have a case made for them. I am undecided on who I would pick still.

I think the obvious candidates are:

    Maurice Jones Drew
    Reggie Bush
    Vince Young
    Matt Leinart
    Marques Colston

I would also like to see Marcus McNeil and Nick Mangold receive a bit of attention. I know that these two do not have a prayer but, all things being equal these two have probobly played better than the list above.

My thinking is that M. Jones Drew should get the nod. The guy has 15 TD. I know that Young is the popular/sexy pick but Jones Drew has been phenomenal.

There have been some sports personalities that I have heard speaking about Bush as the rookie of the year and to be honest I do not see that at all. He has been good no doubt, but I think in terms of impact Drew and Young and Colston for that matter edge him out.

I would also like to know who people think will win the DROY as I am in the dark every time I try and think about who that should go to.

VY and Bush get the hype (and they do deserve most of it), but MJD is all kinds of awesome.

OROY is probaly going to Reggie Bush because of the situation and recieving so much hype.

I'm not saying he's the most talented rookie but it's gotta be Vince Young. In the first game of the season against the Jets, he came in one series for Kerry Collins. He didn't do anything magical but the whole team elevated with him behind center. He's a leader and he does what he has to do to get wins.

The team did not elevate at all when we played him. I think he threw an interception to Dyson on his third toss

Marcus McNeill deserves the OROY. I'd give the DROY to DeMeco Ryans or Mark Anderson (Ryans has been on the field more, though).

Yeah. He threw an INT (inside the 20, so not a big deal). Still, watching the game, the other players on the team stepped it up with Young out there. He makes everyone around him play better. Maybe some of that is hype. But it goes a long way, in my opinion.

    vince young or marques colston

vince young actually almost had the titans in the wild card hunt. just think if he had started the whole season.

marques colston lead the league in recieving up to week 9 or 10 i believe, before injuries kept him off the field.

    enough said

Before Vince Young started playing it was Colston, but then he got hurt and Vince Young is on a 6 game win streak. He is the rookie of the year.

I go along with that. Colston has been solid and will be again next season , same goes with Vince.

    The DROY is easy.....DeMeco Ryans.
