A win Sunday will be the biggest win in Jet history since SB III. Face it most "experts" have us losing this game. Just the look on Little Bill's face  would be worth all those terrible years we've endured as fans. Also it may give Mangini's boys the confidence to make a run for the Lombardi. A win Sunday would be the cherry to top off a fabulous first year for Mangini. You know Bellichek wants this one badly and a loss may cause him to :drunk: It would be a great day for all here on the Gang Green. ats_suck: Please post if you could remember a bigger(possible) win in historical terms for this franchise.
I would rate LA '82 and jax '98 bigger simply b/c those wins put us 1 win away from the SB and that's the closest we have come since Jan 1969 but a win this week would be huge and would signal a changing of the guard in the AFC east.
I'd rank it even with 2004 in SD, but 1998 Jax got us to the AFCC and 2002 Indy was a playoff game of beauty.
I think with a team this young, this game could catapault the Jets to the next level if they win. I'm not even talking about just this season, I'm talking about developing a confidence and an aura in playoff games.
let's get past this one first...Did you guys hear/read that 1050ESPN is hosting a playoff party in ESPN Zone in Time Square? I'm so there.
A win in this game will vindicate us from being labeled as "luck", if we don't the media will keep labeling us as benefitors of an easy schedule. Besides, just to see the handshake if we win will be worth it. Lastly, we can make that first step in De-throning the Pats. Any way it turns out this season was a sucess, but a win would be so so much sweeter
if we win this game, without a doubt...mangini is the real deal...and i feel an extension coming on shortly
