I would add Brandon Mann to the duds list. It's not that he punted badly in this game, but he was drafted (teams usually don't draft punters) because of a stellar college career. We even gave up on a decent (not great) punter in Lac Edwards. At this point, he should be one of the top punters in the league and he isn't (16th.) In this game his punts were average when the Jets needed some good punts to pin the Bills back, which ironically their punter did to us. Conversely, I would add Zuerlein to the studs list. Wasn't called on to kick much but made all his kicks, EP, FG in harsh conditions. His KO's were consistent, through the end zone with the wind, coming down on the goal line into the wind.
They weren't going to snap it, and it wasn't offsides. Just a bad decision by Mosely, that gave the Bills momentum, when the Jets would have had the ball.
Good lists. I'd add MC2 to the duds for getting worked all game. It could have been worse if Allen wasn't having a bad day accuracy wise.
Mosley has been an instinctive player his entire career and is a big reason why he is having a great year. It bit him in the ass yesterday but he still played great and belongs in the studs list.
Typical sign of somebody who said they were OK being a backup, but were clearly not ready to step in when needed.
Unhappy that we lost two games in a row for the first time this season. We are trending down and the injuries are not helping the cause.
I can;t get mad at CJ. First, they WERE going to snap it. Bills haven't been shut out in first half for a century, and they weren't going into half time without even trying for at least 3. CJ's jump cost 5 yards. But they'd have converted on 4th and a foot anyway. Either way, Bills get a 1st down. CJ's jump (if it worked) could have been the turning point in the game for the Jets.
Disagree. We lost to two of the top teams in the NFL in their park and both games were up for grabs at the end. This team is on it’s way. We’ve had some bad luck with injuries, yes, but there are still some playmakers suiting up. Despite the loses the trend is up. When the roster is at full strength the trend will be way up, something to look forward to, Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Two losses in a row...in very winnable games... is not an upward trend. I expect better... sounds like you do too.
hard disagree and here is why Mosley is a smart player. and he makes educated guesses on what play is coming. and 90+% of the time he is right. he's the QB of our defense. In the case of the penalty he made a guess and was tricked by a trick play it happens. there were at least 5-6 plays he blew up by guessing right. including 2 on the final bills drive to give us a chance to get the ball back and tie it. To say someone made 1 mistake so there weren't a stud is really poor. it's like saying a QB who threw for 500 yards and 5 TDs isn't a stud becuase they threw 1 INT. mosley was by and far a stud this game. it was one of the best games i've seen him play as a jet.1 mistake doesn't change that. had the bills actually planned on running that play, he would have had a 4th down stop there.
and we face the lions who are 5-1 in their last 6 games and their only loss was 3 points to the bills. oh and they have JAMO now who already caught a long TD in his 1st NFL game
That catch was nothing special... busted coverage from the looks of it. It was his only catch in the game. ... and that wasn't his first NFL game... he took 8 snaps w/ one target the week before vs. the Jags. I have to think we can contain him as well as we've handled other big time receivers. If we can spook Goff and get him off his spot we'll be OK... I haven't watched their game yet... but it looks like they exploited a weak Vikings defense in a way that we weren't able to.
Disagree, Why would they snap it to a TE? I believe they were trying to draw the Jets offside, and what do you know, we fell into the fake.
Dumb play by Mosely, but, he played his ass off. The fumbles were the real killers. We need to start winning the turnover battle.
That same play has been used by other teams and that's the first time I've seen them not snap the ball.
