I think it's worth debating because he's gone over 1000 yds in 5 of his 6 seasons. Had a 2000 yard season, the single game rushing record. Big in between the tackels runningback to play off of Washington and could be very cheap and he would allow the jets to not have to get a runningback this draft. However, in the last 2 years he's only averaged 3.5 yrds per carry, so it is a gamble.
Absolutely not. He is on the wrong side of 30 and his legs are shot. He has had too many carries and now has injury problems because of them. I don't think Jamal Lewis would have fared any better behind our line than our RBs did.
Lewis is 27 until August. I just saying he could be a low risk high reward signing that wouldn't cost a pick, just some money.
That would be a good fit, he'd be a nice power compliment for Bell (either one). As for the Jets and Lewis, I wouldn't mind him on a one or two year deal because he would make a nice power back compliment to Leon, but nothing really more than that because I'd like to go with someone younger at RB.
I woudln't mind for the right price. Him and Washington would be very good. But hes going to want the $$$$$$$...
