I will let @Sundayjack to be the boss here. But I am OK with the proposal :)

WR would be good, why would we need to draft a RB?, we are set there

Probably because I don't see Breece staying, franchise tagging a guy that doesn't want to be here is a bad idea. Allen is nowhere near a RB1

I think you take a shot at a back in the 4th or 5th assuming Breece leaves. Hold the fort with Davis/Allen/Drafted RB for next year. Maybe sign one in FA.

I want to see if Davis can start. He flashes a lot. I wouldn't mind seeing Allen play second fiddle in an Alstott role splitting time between RB and FB.

    @Jonathan_Vilma @BrowningNagle

Do you guys think my Vandy team will defeat Auburn at home? I feel like if we lose, we are eliminated entirely from the play off contention. Super nervous. What do you guys think? Son will be at the game and I hope his day is not ruined.

Vandy’s had a gauntlet of a schedule and is probably tired. Auburn gets the new coach bump but their offense is terrible.

I’m rooting for Vandy. Diego just wins. They should win but I wouldn’t be shocked if Auburn keeps it tight.

Thanks JV. Told son what you wrote. I said expect a bad Auburn offense but a tight game. They should remain in the game. He will facetime me if Vandy wins as players come in front of the student section to sing the song. Can't wait :)

I am not sure if he will stay or not, but he never said he does not want to be here. He was asked point blank if he wants to be here and he said yes, if they will have me. Now, does that mean he wouldn't PREFER to play for a winning team? Of course not, I am positive most of the Jets roster, if not all, would prefer to play for KC with Mahomes. That's just a fact. But that does not mean he does not want to be here - not at all. And he literally said so himself just a few days ago: he never requested a trade and does not mind coming back. I am not sure why people are not taking yes for an answer.

And secondly, Barkley was tagged, wasn't too thrilled about that, and played just fine. Breece will also play if it comes down to that, nothing wrong with that. In fact the mistake the Giants made was letting Barkley go. Playing on a tag was just fine as a last resort, though I do hope they can use the tag to eventually negotiate an extension. That would be a very good thing for our rookie QB.

Then he drove a go cart around the locker room at practice the next day.

The Barkley comparisons are nonsensical dude. Not for anything but he had far greater success with the Giants than Breece has ever had here. He also didn’t bitch on social media every other week for a year like Breece has done since the fall of last year.

Not impressed with Mendoza to be honest.

Entirely. Not a QB guru so don't take me serious but in the pros he will be a back up at most. This is based on the 3 games I watched him on. Indy won the first 2 games. Let's see if they win today.

    JV

Vandy got the ball first and did nothing. Then Auburn marched down and scored a TD very crisply. I guess the new coach bump is in play here. Dang it.

To Mendoza’s credit, he showed up late and got the W. Penn State still has a good defense despite the disastrous season and ugly record. But yeah he didn’t perform very well today.

I really don't know what to think of him. Passes the stats test but not so much the eyeball test. WR's made insane catches on that last drive to bail him out. To be fair, he was under constant pressure.

My gut feel is that Jets should hold their fire on drafting a QB this year. Can't afford another wild swing and a miss on a QB in a weak class.

I think we need to look at a QB with the Colts pick, our second rounder or the QB’s. I think there’s decent talent there but I’m pretty much dead set on Nussmeier being a good player and our selection there. I’d also be in on a Sellers flyer with those picks and a redshirt 2026 year with the Jets.

I am completely out on a top ten QB at this point. Trade down from our top 5 pick if there’s a valid trade offer or take an elite edge.

A trade down would be amazing. I would not hate Nussmeier as a late 1st or 2nd. I am thinking Sellers returns for one more year at USC. I think he could really benefit from another season.

What are your thoughts on Drew Allar? He has a gun for an arm but also has a lot of touch on his throws. He was injured so it may drop his draft spot, but his ability can’t be denied.

If we can get him with a later pick I think it would be a great way to take a chance on a potentially good QB without using high draft capital.

He had an ankle injury, it can happen to anyone.
