It's sad... I barely even care. Apathy has finally driven it's stake....

This is supposed to be the best time of year for Jets fans because it's the only time of year we have hope. Take that away from us and what do we have left? It's going to be hard to even look at anything Jets for a while, never been this down on a season the day after the last one ended.

if you traded back from no 2 think of the haul you'd have!

The Rams have the Falcons pick at 13. suppose Stafford retires and they want a QB at no 2. You could trade down to the 13, grab their extra 1st and a 1st next year. End up with 3 1sts this year and 4 1sts next year.

If they don’t like Moore and he’s a bust, ok. But this regime needs a QB. You pick at 2, they will have their chance. Seems like a Sam Darnold Baker situation is more rare than common these days.

Yeah, but if McVey wants that QB at 2, do we really want to bet against that guy? And yes, even Shanahan made a major mistake with Lance, but still ... I don't know if these guys are often wrong. No matter how many players we draft, we can't make the roster coach proof, but a good QB could really help and even make things a lot more attractive for the next regime, like Maye did after NE fired old coach.

Boomer said it this Am. Thinks Jets get a WR early and if they do draft Moore, he is sitting to learn next year to start. Glad there are same people here. Glenn better not get selfish.

I wouldn’t mind a trade down, but when you have a coach already on the hot seat and no QB and you pick #2, I think it’s almost overwhelmingly going to be a QB at 2.

I’m just glad the Giants helped us out and we have #2 instead of #3, because then I’d be worried about a trade up

It's pretty rare that a rookie QB can save a coach on the hot seat.... Signing a "hold the fort" vet (that doesn't SUCK like Fields) then drafting other positions with a greater odds of immediate impact (Bain, etc) helps his case more imo...

We will also learn a lot on Moore playing Indiana a second time. Coach said he was just a few starts under belt when played earlier this year. Moore has such a live arm. Talent is there. Just hope we develop him right way b

McVey teaching a QB and the Jets teaching a QB are 2 vastly different schools

    I am curious.

I don't follow/watch much the college football (I only watch the playoffs)

I was VERY impressed with Mendoza ability to pass and manage the game against Alabama.

Are there really hands down, generational, surefire QB available for next year? Or is it like we see every season. Next season is batch just because we believe in the early hype from some QB. And the current batch is bad. Not the first time I hear that. Last year was like that too.

I mean a year ago, I remember people talking about Nussmeier, Klubnik, Simpson going early and now they are not even in the picture for us. Is next year a must wait for QB talent?

This GM should know better. He’s not tied to Aaron Glenn. If he thinks Moore rights the ship, then so be it. Glenn’s job is to win games and he will have two new QBs to try with next year, including a Vet

Good for the Rams, the Jets have a lot of holes. This was just an example but 7 1st rounders in 2 seasons would build something nice

Updated the thread title as with the Ravens loss, our 2nd 1st rounder will be 16th.

They then take Moore who proceeds to be a hall of fame qb for them and we go through another jets draft blunder moment

I don't disagree. My comment was directed towards "coach on the hot seat, and no qb..."

Wouldn't surprise me at all if they traded down from 2 to stockpile more picks, maybe even trying to get another 2027 1st.

The Browns would be an interesting trade partner. They currently hold the 6th and 28th picks this year. Maybe their new HC will want to draft Moore and they'd be willing to part with both of those plus their 2027 1st.

I wouldn't be so sure they do this. Unless they plan to win NOW...trade for say..Kyler Murrary (who is more then servicable) but I don't see it...you pick 2, you take the QB if he's there..

This is the worst draft class in recent memory. I don’t see teams giving up hauls to trade up for lesser prospects but we’ll see.
