    ?

Dude I really don't care, I really wouldn't mind either way. Post counts don't really mean anything anyway.

All I can say, winston, is that it's people like you who make this board what it is!

    It's a great idea.
Hopefully now the game threads will have a little more substance to them rather than "Shit......dammit"

I can almost guarantee this won't change game threads at all. Posting in game threads alot has nothing to do with post counts. It's your emotions running wild from watching the game.

Great idea. People should be judged on the content of the post, not how many times they've posted before. I don't see things changing that much though. The place is a bit clicky, as are most, but maybe now the little guy's voice will be a bit stronger then it was before.

This is my 10,000th post..... Really!...and for my 10,000th post (Quite the achievement, I know. What?...Oh, thank you thank you) Anyway for my 10,000th post I just want to say I'm sick of tht picture of that fat f**k Wilfork running with the ball and I really hope Rhodes can finally drag him down. Also want to add that the Pats suck Donkey dong.

the people who post idiotic statements of fantasy trades they do in madden, and the guys with names like "vilmapwnsyourmomdadsisterandgrandma51258916" who wind up gettin flamed, and typically they are the few post count guys because they dont have anything intelligent to add to a messageboard....

although there are guys here with 18000 posts who dont add anything intellectual to posts either...

either way, the removal of post counts shouldn't effect anyone anyway... If the post count doesnt matter to you when reading someones post then whats the difference.

    posts

almost all of my posts are on game threads, although i read this site almost every day.
my concern with my low post count is that i am unable to read newspaper articles, etc that others post. can we change that?

It dosen't take that long to post a message on a board. I'm on my computer most of the time I'm home, so TGG is always open in a tab. I check it out numerous times over the course of the night. I'm sure a lot of others are the same way.

Oh, and not having a post count dosen't suddenly give people the right to sling insults, it works both ways.

Exactly, most people with higher post counts are people who are either on the site at work or go on late at night. These aren't people who are sitting in front of their computers all day waiting for a new thread to pop up. Personally, I am still in high school so when I am home from school and in my room I am on TGG. Who knows what will happen when I go to college next year.

I have no clue what my post count was, and I rarely noticed what it was for other posters unless I thought they said something idiotic. Then I might look. Basically, I couldn't care less if the post count is there... or not. Join date means squat too. Neither is an indication of whether or not people write well thought out posts or indicate how well they know pro football, the team, coaches, FO, etc.

It's sort of funny though, I've seen the post count/join date chest swelling put down at many message boards. It's not unique to this site by any stretch.
