With the Giants playing in London on October 28th at 1pm and that game being on CBS assuming that week isnt the Jets bye, they are going to have to play either the Eagles or Skins. I am saying it is the Eagles better late game and could be a national tv game for Fox. Also Francessa or the Fatman said about that game that it could be game 7 of the world series which a- is wrong because the world series starts on a tuesday meaning game 7 wouldnt be until mid week. my second point is that it really has nothing to do with the Giants playing in London.. I hope he isnt trying to be cocky and assuming the Yanks will be there.
The Giants-Dolphins game will actually be on FOX since it's a Giants "road game". I checked the reports, and this is true. So all of those other conditions you had don't really hold.
For the 2nd time in 3 years the Giants get only 7 road games but at lest they don't have 9 home games this year.
How do the NYGs only have 7 away games this year? You mean they are receiving "special" treatment from the NFL?
First off, Francess is the fatman and if you knew anything you would the 7th game of the WS is always schedueled to be played Sunday.
He thought the Giants were the "away" team vs the Jets...however We are the away team, so we only have 7 "away" games.
I think he means seven games in the opponent's stadium, since Wembley isn't the Dolphins' usual haunt, obviously.
Are you kidding me. They changed the World Series schedule this year. Game 1 is on a Tuesday and Game 7 is the following Wednesday. If you anything you better be sure you're right before you say someone is wrong.
I think it would be more accurate to say that the abroad game is an away game for both the Giants and Dolphins.
yup, and if its an away game for both, its home field advantage for neither. Giants only have to play 7 times with the other team having the advantage, while everyone else plays 8
Marty, you got burned on this one. They announced the change over the summer, since it's hard getting ratings on weekends. Saturday night is one of the worst nights in TV, and baseball had both games 1 and 6 on Saturday. So it made sense to switch.
That's still a true road game, we don'thave to travel but the Stadium will be filled w/ Giant fans while the dolphin-Giant game will be filled w/ neutral fans. It is a neutral site game. 8 road games and a neutral site game w/ only 7 home games. Miami gets screwed in this deal. The travel won't be a big deal since they are off the next week but Miami losing a home game and the Giants not having to face a hostile crowd(not that Miami's crowd is hostile but they aren't playing in a Stadium w/ dolphin fans) gives the giants a huge edge w/ their sched while Miami takes a hit losing a home game.
Miami doesn't get screwed. Why? A few reasons: 1) They asked for it. 2) Every team will be doing this, losing 1 home game every 16 yrs.
Does anyone know what time the Giants/Fish game in England will be played Eastern US time, which is about 6 hours behind England time?
