Atlanta as two pretty good 2nd round picks. Numbers 40 and 44 worth a combined 960 draft points. Should we try and move down by combining our number 25 and 61 (worth 996) for those and their 5th rounder (pick 149 worth 36 points)? Are there good enough prospects there to make it worthwhile over what we would get at 25 and 63? I think there might be. Course they may have no desire to make that trade.
Somebody the Jets want will drop to them on the 25. Given the Jet's perceived weaknesses in the front 7, at offensive guard and cornerback the odds are enormous that they have two people or more they want sitting there on the 25. As to whether they would consider trading down to make 2 picks into 3, well that's obviously one of their modus operandi's so far. Three years of depth depletion takes a few drafts to fix and the Jets are in that process at the moment.
If there is complete garbage left in the 1st round then this isnt a bad idea, but then at pick 40 its luck that the guy you want drops to you. Also, Tannenbaum said he would take the BPA
Thats my opinion too , BPA. We still have so many holes , some more glaring than others , but still many.
Completely off-topic but, your avatar is starting to gross me out. Is it just me or does that look like a transvestite?
Looks a little like Tiki as a white chick. I don't mind trading down, there's good talent in the second rd.
Well, that's the question. Can we fill more holes at 40, 44 and 59 with a 5th thrown in then we can at 25, 59 and 63. To me the answer looks easy.
Atlanta is primed to trade up...but it looks more likely they trade within the top 8 they could be involved in any number of scenarios to get Calvin Johnson or LaRon Landry so come #25 they might not have both 2nd round picks
I just read today that not one team has traded into the top 10 for years. I kind of doubt they will either. The reasons are that it will effect their draft this year, next year and maybe even the year after that. The cost of a top 10 pick is considerably more then a lower 1st too. Most GMs will not risk their jobs to make that kind of move anymore. A lot of teams in the top 10 always want to trade out but there are never any takers.
they are already in the top 10...? and they have a lot available to move from the schaub theft...which wouldnt hurt them this year or next year
there is no reason why the lions cant find a partner to move out of the #2 spot...(if calvin is available) vick failing with CJ would be the perfect excuse to move on and bring in brohm next year...and vick would still catch them a draft pick but it seems the bucs may be willing to part with more it just would make too much sense...b/c the lions want to walk away with joe thomas or patrick willis and #4 or #8 is right where they need to be
There is no need for Leonard here. We have the blocking fullback and we have the two headed running game. He's a great player and all, but we have much more needs to address.
I'd be pumped if this were to happen. Imagine 4 second round picks?? That would be sick, we would definately hit on at least 2 or 3 of those players...if not all four. We'd bring some major talent to the team. Tanny get on the phone with atlanta pronto.
Pick 25 is worth 720 points. Pick 61 is worth 292 points. #149 is worth 31.8 points, not 36. Jets - 1012.0 Atlanta - 1027.8
