http://www.newyorkjets.com/news/articles/show_permalink/players-like-the-added-punch Heres what I got out of the article: -53 monstrous athletes who know how to box. -Improved feet hands and quickness as well as the ability to handle pressure. -Anthony Clement is working hard enough to maybe have his best season ever. Mangini's intangibles are one of a kind and brilliant. Can't wait for the season.
Really excited that Clement came in with something to prove and is wanting to improve each aspect of his game. Shows that he does want to play and help this team out.
well considering there was only 3 teams that gave up more sacks than us it wouldn't be hard for any of our lineman to improve
Looks like Belichick is stealing ideas from Mangini again.... http://patriots.bostonherald.com/patriots/view.bg?articleid=1000168 Davis brings an interesting approach to the job. Just as the 49ers did during their glory days, he?s been boxing with players such as Tom Brady [stats] and Matt Cassel to improve their hand speed, holding small pads like trainer Teddy Atlas.
Great article..... Was that Chad throwing punches? I really hope that an offseason of not having to rehab from an injusry allows Chad to build up arm strenght and agility. Hope that the boxing helps.
.....and Nooge!! I really like the idea of incorperating boxing into the programme. Anyone whos ever done it will tell you how much concentration, stamina and power it takes. What a rush , getting trained by Mr Atlas
