The Jaguars released their all-time leading tackler last month. In addition to the Raiders, the Bills and Panthers were also interested in Darius's services.
If the Patriots signed him, we'd be saying, "Oh, what a great signing for the Pats. Darius has a chip on his shoulder and will play great in a winning environment." but now that he's on oakland, he's an "over the hill player who just took the money" and such.
He'll still be serviceable, even after his slew of injuries. The guy was great in his prime and was most likely brought in to mentor their younger secondary.
It doesn't matter because the Raiders suck and they will for the next 100 years. Just thought I'd post that so some of you don't have to...
