Good, the rookie signings always annoy me. It just takes too long. We have plenty of time to focus comletely on signing Revis now, so he should be in there.

Hopefully we can get Revis signed now and be done with our rookie signings.

I agree. These guys have never played a game, proven nothing. Sign the contract and get to practice, otherwise you'll be behind and useless.

The New York Jets have signed linebacker David Harris, their second-round pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. The announcement was made by Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum.

Harris (6'2", 243), the 47th overall selection in the draft, finished his career at the University of Michigan with 196 total tackles, four sacks, one interception, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.

He was named a second-team All-American as a senior by Sports Illustrated and was also a semifinalist for the Butkus Award, given to the nation?s top linebacker. In 2006, the Grand Rapids, Mich., native shared the Bo Schembechler team MVP award with tailback Mike Hart.

Great news hearing this lastnight. Can't wait to see him starting next to Vilma. Heard Revis will be signed today.

I sure hope the addition of him with the subtraction of Kimo from the starting lineup helps improve our run D. I'm a fan of Barton, but knowing how much mangini likes to rotate guys in and out to stay fresh its good knowing we have another quality guy that can go in there and hold his own.

I think David Harris is going to be a great fit here. I bet he ends up being the starter and an impact player by the end of the season.

I'm unbelievably late for even posting about this signing, but I wanted to put my thoughts in that David Harris is a beast. He's a solid pick up for us and him and Vilma are going to be puncturing chests this upcoming season.

I hope Harris lays out Maroney on the first play of the game...

Revis is so good he can hold out of mini camp AND training camp AND preseason AND not sign until noon opening day and STILL come in and shut Randy Moss down.
