If you only get to choose one, which UDFA do you think will make the final cut? (active, not Practice Squad). The poll function only allows me to create 10 choices, so I have had to lump them together by position to get everyone in...you'll have to specify which player in the thread below...

I only included goys who are listed as UDFA's on the Jets website. Wong is listed as a first year player b/c he was in camp with another team last year.

I voted RB Alan Banks out of James Madison. Reason? Who Knows...I just remember googling him a bit when they signed him and having a funny feeling he could be one of those surprise/sleeper guys.

Of course if Ced is gone for good this just became a whole lot more likely...wish I had put the poll up earlier in the week like I wanted to!

An Olineman. Not sure which, it doesn't really matter though. The depth at OL is so thin, there is a pretty good chance one of these guys will stick. (Probably one or two on the practice squad too).

Exactly. I don't even know who those guys listed are, but I'll be willing to bet at least one o fthem remains with the team since we're so thin.

While I think this is a very reasonable choice (moreso than my own!), if you look at Rany Lange's article today, we have a LOT of OLmen in camp that have more experience than the UFDA's, and I'm guessing one of those more experienced guys wins out.

I like either Danny Ware or Alvin Banks to stick since Houston is gone. I guess it has to be one of them...

There are alot of Olinemen in camp for a reason. The FO obviously sees the line as a problem and not very deep. The only players on that list that are assured positions are Brick, Mangold, Kendall, Moore, Clement, Bender and maybe Clarke. And we are talking about depth here not starters. So none of these guys are exactly tearing it up, or great, experience or not. It is very likely an UDFA will be kept, moreso than any other position. Maybe one on the practice squad too.

Oops, I voted Pellot-Rosa thinking about the practice squad (seems like an excellent candidate for development), but active roster, the O-linemen would have been a better choice. We need some help there and you see it happen semi-frequently along the line.

Pellot-Rosa did not practice today. He had a mean looking bandage (cast?) the length of his lower arm (sprained or broken wrist?). Riding the bike first day of practice does not bear well for a "project" who has not played football since high school.

OL Robert Turner or C Joseph Villani or OL Andrew Wicker because that is our greatest need and there seems to be some talent.

Agreed, otherwise I would've voted OL just because that's our area of biggest need.

I picked Mike DeVito. He's Italian and we could always use another DE. As long as he's bigger than Danny DeVito, he has a shot.

WhiteshoesWillie...are you picking Ayat to replace Nugent, or make it as a KO specialist? Just curious... (the former seems like the longest of longshots to me, but hey, you never know)

I wonder, how many teams have carried 3 kickers during the regular season?
