Our resident neuro kick returner has decided to wake up and spell the coffee. If he can get it we will have even more depth at CB. Miller is already spilling the reinvented player mantra , which can only signal that the penny has indeed dropped. If Revis comes into camp today hes going to already be on the back foot within the systems , it will take a mammoth effort from him to catch up. This is slowly turning into farce #2 , we trade up to nab a quality guy and we play silly buggers over a year , maybe I just don't get it.
I'm one of his biggest bashers but thus far the TC reports are certainly encouraging. Up until he hits a real game and performs, I view him as nothing more than Dime-back quality. We've seen plenty of workout warriors in camp, Gessner, JMac, etc. Bring that same intensity and concentration to the field, while leaving your "dumbness" in the lockeroom, and he certainly has my vote.
You can never have too many good cb's on a roster. Revis will get here, eventually. Stick him in the dime and let him return kicks and punts. Maybe Miller can put all that talent to use. He's so fast and physical, he is a true specimin. I hope he wins the starting job. with barret at nickel and Revis in the dime as he is learning, hell, I'll go into any game this year with that defensive backfield, and of course we can't forget mr. Rhodes running the show back there. This is excitng!
How nice it would be if he finally started putting the athleticism to good use as a CB. There's no reason he can't end up as one of the premier press corners in this league. Plus he is still really young, maybe he has had enough time to mature a bit to become a more consistent cb.
Miller has all the physical tools to be a great corner in this league, hopefully he gets his head right and becomes what he was supposed to be coming out of college. If he can, think of the CB combo of Miller and Revis in the years to come. But it is only TC and he had a good camp last year, so I'll believe it when I see it.
