I beleive that we had nothing to lose and everything to gain from bringing Andre in. He will pass on alot of knowledge , if he can remember it
I remember The Days of Herm when Ty Law was one of our sleepers, and the team wouldn't let Justin Miller sit next to him in meetings because they were worried that he might also become a sleeper? <sigh>
Got to see that i really wanted Alvin Banks to make the team but with Ware getting most of the looks im not sure Banks will get a place on the roster.
I agree with everyone who has said Ware and Ventrone. Ventrone=Villanova boy, so I'm hoping he makes it for the same reasons you all want Manny Collins to make it.
Hahahahahaaa..... I'm not sure that's the kind of "sleeper" he was referring to, Jack! (LOL). Come to think of it though, who could blame Law for taking a nap during one of Herm's sermons?
players who will make the team: QB: Pennington, Clemens HB: Jones, Leon, Ware FB: Barnes WR: Coles, Cotchery, J-Mac, Brad Smith, Stuckey TE: Baker, Ryan, Dearth OL: Brick, Mangold, Moore, Clement, Bender, Wade Smith 20 players Defense DL- Robertson, Ellis, Coleman LB- Thomas, Vilma, Barton, Hobson, Harris, Bowens, DB- Revis, Dyson, Miller, Rhodes, E. Smith, E. Coleman 15 players Graham, Nugent 37 players So that leaves plenty of spots that are still open. I have no idea what defensive line players will make the team after the three 3 starters. Pouha hopefully but he has no track record. Probably a third qb makes the team. The secondary has a few spots up for grabs. I'm sure people might disagree with me but I feel those are the players who will make the team. I'm sure guys like Wallace Wright, Pouha, Chatham, Poteat, Rashad Washington have a good chance to make the team.
Personally, I do not think we have nearly enough nonsense threads. :drunk: A couple of sleepers to make this team: Ellis, Pouha, Robertson, Coleman, Brick, Clarke, Moore, Clement and Pennington, these guys are definitely "sleepers" and will make the team. In all seriousness Ventrone Posziak Ware Collins There really is not too many if you want to discount Stuckey and Bender. However, historically it has been difficult for later round picks to make it.
Bender for rookie of the year? and Revis very ordinary until the final stretch of the season????? Very OBVIOUSLY Gus does not make any money scouting for any professional team.
our rookie of the year....not the leagues and by ordinary...he thinks he will struggle to catchup bc of the holdout nothing too ridiculous there
Mmm, 'sayeth'. That's the second time in as many days I've seen you use it. Yep, I like it. I wonder if it's how the whole NY habit of "I says" got started. "My car wouldn't start, so I says..." "Got laid off, so I says, what's that about. So he says get lost, so I says I'll push your face in." Romans and their descendants. I'm too sleepy to pick sleepers, but we should sticky this and see how wrong or how right we all were.
thankyou , what I mean. By all accounts Revis is a natural at this position , so I may be wrong , but Mangini will have to give him the opportunity to make mistakes first. Will he do that so far down the line now? Benders progress reminds me of how Mangold and Brick slotted in. OMG! lol: ) NO!!!!!! Just think of the " I told you so's"
Just read that Jame Ihedigbo was released yesterday. Kind of surprised he was released this early, I thought he had some upside. This probably helps Ventrone quite a bit in the numbers game... http://www.newyorkjets.com/news/articles/show_permalink/db-ihedigbo-released
Not a chance Tutt goes bye bye, Mangini loves his versatility.... with that being said the sleepers to make the team are Vetrone, Haynes, Wright
