Raiders look like a Team that going to be biggest supprise in the league. GEt here regular season. The two biggest question marks Oline and QB have really played very well this preseason. Dante Culpepper I Can't believe how good this guy has looked(thanks Dolphins). The raiders oline is like Night and Day, from last year to this year oline. A Large credit has to go to TOm cable(oline coach) who has these guys playing at a higher level, and they are only going to get better with time. Like I said it still preseason. Staying with my 8-8 prediction but wouldn't be supprised if raiders were a playoff team in 2007. Raider ON.
I wouldn't be surprised if they were either Joe, the NFL playoff system is designed to allow at least one mediocre team from each confrence into the playoffs.

well i they could be decent. Jamarcus Russell has the ability to start right away and make an impact for this team with his playmaking ability. He can be like vince young, if he signed a contract of course...
If they can put up average numbers on offense and maintain what they did on defense they'll be a lot better team. I don't think 8-8 is out of the question if they are able to do these 2 things. Tough looking schedule though ...

Do you remember 2006 when the Raiders won more games in preseason than they did in the regular season?
If Culpepper plays like a man with a chip on his shoulder (which he is doing now) the Raiders won't be the last place team in that division (Herm). That is assuming the Raiders defense is as good as they were last year and there is no indication they won't be. Unfortunately for Oakland it is a huge jump from what they were last year to say KC and Denver but it certainly is impossible. I like Oakland's WRs and now that Moss is gone expect Ron Curry to have a big season and I'd expect Jerry Portor to go back to the level he was playing at before Moss and Kerry Collins destroyed Oakland. 8-8 might be a stretch but many people said the same thing about the Jets last year but Oakland has a much better defense than the Jets did last year and with a D that good anything is possible.

Sorry Joe they gotta beat out the Chargers or the Broncos to make the playoffs and that is just not happening. They might well push the Chiefs into the cellar though. Small steps are where they are at right now. And wouldn't 7-9 look really good compared to the collapse of the last few seasons?
Come on, this is a serious thread, even from Jeaux. I see the raiders having a huge improvement. One of my best mates is a huge raiders fan, and we talk about it quite often. I don't see them making playoffs, their division is too tough, and they wont make wildcards. They will have a big improvement though, i'd say mabey 8-8 tops
one day jeaux will be able to spell the names of the players on his team. Not holding my breath, though. I will say, though, that the Raiders have a chance at finishing out of last place. The Chiefs might not win 6 games.

Its not about wins and losses in the preseason. Its what your first and second teams do. Raiders never at anytime in the preseason last year, looked as good as they have this preseason.
