Hey at least if you're gonna miss the Jets opener, you'll get to see Pedro vs. Oswalt. Should be a great matchup and a great game.
I was supposed to be sitting in the Picnic Area at todays game, but that isn't happening anymore. I wouldn't have payed much attention to the Mets game anyway. I planned on brining my portable TV and watching the Jets game. But now I can just watch it at home, on the tv
I was away from the computer watching my first Jets game (that counts) on my new 47" HD TV. Fortunately I could switch over to SNY in HD and see something that I could actually stomach. Mets looked good all the way around. It's quite amazing how they completely turned it around after the Philly series. Philly still 6 back, Atlanta 8 1/2 back, magic number is 14.
How did Pedro look? 92 pitches seems like alot for 5 innings with only 1 walk. Was he going to deep counts on alot of hitters or just lots of foul balls etc?
It was a mix - lots of pitches, deep counts, and seven baserunners, but according to the official play-by-play there were 7 two-strike foul balls also. From what I saw he looked fine, but Houston is a pretty bad team.
and then ronaldinho gave them the lead on the free kick, so in the 89th minute its looking like my teams will be 1/3 today. depressing.
went to the game. ended up in seats right behind the astros dugout. was madness with the US Open there. Had to park in a field and take a shuttlebus to the tennis stadium, then walk to Shea. Pedro got a lot of cheers. came home, watched the tape of jets game. ugly
