I originally thought the Jets would win 9 games. After having seen 2 games, I have reviewed their schedule and come to the conclusion that they will win 6 games, give or take 1 game. I think the lack of pressure on the pocket will kill them against Carson Palmer, Eli Manning,Jason Campbell, and Tony Romo.

Anyone else want to revise their predictions? What was your initial prediction, and what is it now?

    Schedule

    W-Sep 23 Miami 1:00pm
    W-Sep 30 @Buffalo 1:00pm
    L-Oct 7 @N.Y. Giants 1:00pm
    L-Oct 14 Philadelphia 1:00pm
    L-Oct 21 @Cincinnati 4:05pm
    W-Oct 28 Buffalo 4:05pm
    L-Nov 4 Washington 1:00pm
    Week 10 BYE
    L-Nov 18 Pittsburgh 1:00pm
    L-Nov 22 @Dallas 4:15pm
    L-Dec 2 @Miami 1:00pm
    W-Dec 9 Cleveland 4:15pm
    L-Dec 16 @New England 1:00pm
    L-Dec 23 @Tennessee 4:15pm
    W-Dec 30 Kansas City 8:15pm

I think we will loose one of the four games we play with the Phins and Bills.

I said 7-9 before the season started.

Immediately after the Pats game I said 2-14.

The real record will be somewhere in between those.

    YAAAAAR!!!!

You have us losing 3 straight to 3 of the worse defenses this year.

CINCY, Philly and NYG could not stop Christopher reeve from running on them.

I was thinking 7-9 going into this season and still stand by it.

For Cincy and the the Giants (I could see the Jets beating the Giants here, but it's a close call), I just think no pass rush = terrible beating.

Against Philly, I think their defense will present problems for the O-line, unless there is significant improvement.

11-5 was my preseason call, but if we lose this week, we're staring 8-8 in the face.

    Going by your predictions...

I see us sweeping Buffalo and Miami. Also, you have us losing to Tennessee, Washington, the Giants, Dallas, Philly (the entire NFC east), and Cincinnati. I think we win at least two of those (Likely the Giants and Tennessee). So I would add 3 wins to your 6 for a total of 9. I would also say we take one from Washington or Philly.

I had the first two games penciled in as losses so no reason to change mt prediction of 9 wins yet. The next 7 games are very winnable.

    Probable losses: @Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, @Dallas, @New England, @Tennessee.

    Possible losses: @Buffalo, Philadelphia, @Washington, @Miami.

Looks like 7-9 or 6-10 to me at this point. We'll know a lot better in 4 weeks because if we lose a couple in those weeks things get really rough from there on.

Tennessee fought Indy and only lost by 2. I'm not betting Jets that week, that's for sure.

We can't beat Dallas, and Washington has performed well so far (though injuries this past week may change their fortunes.) Philly is going to be a tough game, simply because it's a "rivalry" game of sorts, though it's surely winnable.

If anyone thinks that we're beating Cinci, they may want to make plans to not be in front of their tv that Sunday.

    Winnable
    Sep 23 Miami 1:00pm
    Oct 28 Buffalo 4:05pm
    Dec 2 @Miami 1:00pm
    Dec 9 Cleveland 4:15pm
    W-Dec 30 Kansas City 8:15pm

    Tough to win
    Oct 7 @N.Y. Giants 1:00pm
    Oct 14 Philadelphia 1:00pm
    Sep 30 @Buffalo 1:00pm
    Nov 4 Washington 1:00pm

    Sure loss
    Oct 21 @Cincinnati 4:05pm
    Nov 18 Pittsburgh 1:00pm
    Nov 22 @Dallas 4:15pm
    Dec 16 @New England 1:00pm
    Dec 23 @Tennessee 4:15pm

If we split the tough games, we're 7-9. And that's a mighty big if, yaaar.

I stand firm in my convictions. 9-7 with the chance we could upset Pitt or Dallas for 10-6

You saw them give up 51 points to the Cleveland Browns, right?

Maybe yes maybe no but to say a team with that kind of D is a sure bet to win any game is mind boggling. Cinci is the most overrated team for 2 years running now.

Yeah, Tennessee has a bigtime power rushing attack backed up by the best scrambling QB in the game. We're going to get crushed by them in our 3-4.

It's not their D that's going to beat us.

I think Tennessee is a very winnable game. Our biggest weakness (no pass rush) is neutralized by their QB's weakness. Giving VY all day to pass is not the same as giving Brady, or even Boller all day. It's certainly not a sure loss. And I'm just not sold on any of those NFC east teams.
