Game was real fun from the upper reserve tonight. Loved that precision control that Perez displayed. It takes a unique human to hit 3 batters in one inning, two with the bases loaded.
I seriously would love Bobby V back... Please bring him back from Japan! Willie has to go... no more crap like its not his fault and its the pitching... We can have a homeless guy manage the team is we wouldn't be any worse. Look back at the season, we rarely swept any teams. That is because Willie kept throwing back-ups on last game of the series. That Reds game a month ago sticks out to me a lot. He bench pretty much all the starters. Players like David Wright and Reyes do not need that many days off... By far the worse season as a Mets fan, I pretty much went through this whole season thinking we got it... we got it... until a few days ago and it all fell apart. It is not over yet but I really can't see the Phillies losing a game as well as I can't see the Mets winning anymore games.
If you're going to criticize Willie at least stick to one of the million or so valid points and don't fabricate stuff. Wright and Reyes have both played in all but 2 games this year. Whoever the Mets bring in to replace Randolph my biggest hope is that it's a guy that can reverse the pro-veteran entitlement attitude that has been creeping in over the last few years. Now, it's nowhere near as bad with the Mets as the ridiculous stuff that's taking place with the Dodgers this year but you can see it heading in that direction.
yeah, Patrick Ewing is still waiting for that championship he is due. that's what happens when you displace the reponsibility for performance from the actual performers to a concept like "being due." you end up waiting for it, not actually getting it. you don't win because you are due, you win because you perform and execute.
i was in the upper reserve tonight also mets suck, but man the crowd tried and the crowd was loud we had a blast cheering them on never gave up left the stadiuming yelling "FIRE WILLIE!!" over and over wonder if anyone here heard me
Man I really feel sorry for what Mets fans have gone through. I don't like the Mets, but there are many teams I hate a lot more (Phillies are one, as my best friend is a Phillies fan) So Im really hoping you guys can pull the miracle and at least get a one game playoff:beer:
