The Jets will do what they have to do to protect Clemens once he's installed as the starter.

Yeah ? since Chad has been sacked SO many times this year as he stands around in the pocket like a statue wondering how he can loft the ball three yards to his right.

I agree to a certain extent. The real problem is that Schottenheimer (sp?) has for some reason refused to throw the ball down the field AT ALL!!!! It really doesn't matter if they are completed or not, just that the defense knows it is a possibility! The bottom line is, that defenses are keeping 11 men within 15 yards of the line of scrimmage, and Schott STILL refuses to try and throw it over the top!!! There is no where for Chad to throw it, let alone complete it. Schott may be the one that has to go.

Getting rid of Schott is not going to change our horrible defense. And anyway, if you change the qb, the plays may change as well, and maybe things will open up more.
