That game was fantastic! With Coles making the diving catch (remember the ARM STRENGTH behind that throw by Chad?) and rolling into the EZ! And then John McGraw picking off Griese to end it.... The stadium was ROCKING!
chad is a great dude but we will never win a SB with him--bring in clemens and lets get him some time this year so next year we can really do something!! two years and we got this...but lets cut our losses now..I wish chad wqs the answer but sad to say..its time to move on
Don't forget last year against the Browns when Chad threw a clear TD pass to Baker but wasn't ruled a force out. Poster of this thread you have no idea what you're talking about. If you want to bash Chad that's fine (entitled to your own opinion) but just bash him based off of real facts.
Look, Chad is THE most miserable 2 minute drive guy in the world. He can't use the sidelines worth a shit. Anyone who even tries to argue this fact is fooling themselves. Am I bashing Chad when he's down? No. I've bashed him since the Gayders loss where he was exposed. Because that's when the fact became apparent that this guy was not going to progress.
I love how you admonish someone for being a hater after you "hate" on the seven different QBs listed. Plummer, Vinny, Collins, and Delhomme have all played in the Conference Championship or Super Bowl, Chad has not. In relation to Delhomme, what would Chad look like without Coles making circus catches all over the freakin' place?
Yeah, I re-watched the Bills game twice last week and that McGee INT on the sideline was the exact same play attempted to Coles on the sideline twice earlier in the game on no-huddle drives. It's like it's the only sideline route Chad is really comfortable throwing, and it's completely a timing route that he throws immediately after the snap. And I'm almost convinced he audibled to that play on the McGee INT, because pre-snap was heavy on the calls and motion after a defensive shift.
Where would Plummer be without Broncos running attack, where would Vinny be without a HOF running back, blah blah blah.
Yeah that's the only sideline pass he uses. And it's not like he has a huge receiver out there to just pick them up. Unreal.
Get the facts straight I agree we do need a change at QB, but you can't just make up stats to get your way. Let's face it Chad has done some great things for the Jets over the past years, so let's give him the credit that he deserves for that at least. Whether it's time for him to be benched...no comment :shit:
He has had some great moments and should always be welcomed back to Old timers day. WIth that said the time for him to be our starting Qb has come to an end!
He's provided some excitement at times, I agree, but they're few and far between. I don't want someone that will do "some" good things. I want to watch a QB that can throw a damn ball past 15 yards without it taking 20 minutes to get there.
Exactly, I was wrong with a few stats I first posted. I am sorry about that. But what we did end up finding out is that Chad has had ONE fourth quarter touchdown with under 8 mins to go in the 4th quarter in his entire career! We have no 2 minute drill with Pennington, none what so ever, anyone that argues different has to go back and watch some more Jets football. Thats an unbelievable stat (ONE TD?!?!) considering we had a few good seasons with Chad. The point here is that Chad has to go, plain and simple, we have seen his limits. Chad has already taken us as far as Chad can take us.
Thank you so much for that post. The Raiders exposed Chad back in 2002, and nothing has changed since. Good defenses shut down QBs that cant throw the ball down the field, no one can argue, good defenses shut Chad down every single time!
