Tonight Kellen Winslow was forced out in the endzone, but the Refs did not call it that way and the Browns lost to the Cardinals 27-21. It was fitting that this occurred one week before the Browns play the Jets, since the Browns were on the opposite side of a force out that wasn't called last year when they played the Jets. I guess karma is a real thing when you see a play like that. Of course Chris Baker would of CLEARLY been in if he wasn't forced out, Winslow's was a little bit more questionable.

    That is correct.

Also, Braylon Edwards should not have been awarded a touchdown. He should have been declared down at around the 35-yard line. It was a weird play because Edwards made contact with Terrence Holt as he was going down. While Edwards was briefly down on the ground neither Holt nor Antrell Rolle touched him and he got up and ran to the end zone.
The Cardinals challenged the call and it was not overturned. Dan Dierdorf could not believe it. The play-by-play guy was surprised, as well. I missed the very beginning of the game and I never figured out the identity of the play-by-play guy. (Greg Gumbel missed the game due to illness.)

    I loved it!

Yet no one mentions (Media) it happened to us last year!

Also, It looks as if he bobbled it a little so he didn't have full control either way the CH 4 SNF crew acted like the Browns got cheated but if I remember last year most the media said it was 'inconclusive' but now all of a sudden every wants the rule change for replay.

I don't think he would have come down in bounds anyway. I wacthed the game and cleary it was one that Cleveland gave away much like Arizona last week.

Winslow def would have been in. He had one foot in even with the force out. No tto mention that Winslow was interfered with as well.

I think the Baker force-out was a lot more clear cut than Winslow. Baker, if I am remembering correctly, was knocked out by a flying defensemen. Winslow was battling the whole way with two DBs. It was one of those plays that the you could argue either way, unlike Baker's which was pretty clear.

On the Edwards catch, I don't believe he was contacted until he was standing again by Terrence Holt. He rolled and sprung up in one motion. So when Holt clipped him with his leg, he didn't have a knee, an elbow or his butt on the ground. I think it was the right call.

Holt made contact with Edwards' leg as the receiver was in the process of falling down.

Rule 7, Section 4, Article 1e of the rule book states that "an official shall declare dead ball and the down ended when a runner is contacted by a defensive player and he touches the ground with any part of his body except his hands or feet, ball shall be declared dead immediately."

The Cardinals may get an apology from the league in a few days just as they did two weeks ago for the play which should have been Rolle's 3rd TD against the Bengals.

The ironic twist in all this is that it was former Jet Oliver Celestin who knocked him out.

Keith Olbermann just mentioned on the halftime show that the Browns lost the same way they beat the Jets a year ago.

They need to change the rule. Both the Winslow play and the Baker play (even more so) were pretty clear in replay that they were forced out. There CAN be irrefutable evidence of a force out and it's exclusion is wrong.

Cry all you want Browns fans

Anyone see the highlights from the Browns vs Cards game. Cleveland Browns tight end Kellen Winslow was called out of bounds now all you hear is how bad the rule sucks about it being non reviewable. HELLO, does anyone remember last year when the Jets were burned on the exact play, Chris Baker was clearly in bounds. It just goes to show you karma is a bitch! I just wanted to share this.

I cant wait to be there when the Jets put a huge dent in the Browns playoff plans this week. Anderson threw a couple picks and didn't look all that impressive. The Jets can definitely beat this team.

It's funny I just posted this topic as a thread.

Anyway, did anyone notice, I think it was a Canon camera commercial, but it showed great catches from around the NFL. Ya know, just when the player caught the ball the camera would go "Ca-Chik" or whatever, but anyway, one of the highlighted catches was Bakers catch in the endzone against the Browns that was called out of bounds.

It aired right before the Jets - Fins game yesterday and me and my buddy got talking about the bullshit call, kinda creepy!!!

I hope the turnout at the stadium is better than the Steelers game. To have a stadium filled with people wearing dog masks would be utterly embarrassing.
