two great Rookie LBs, but who?s better?

Willis Leads the NFL in Tackles with 142 (111 solo). Harris is 11th in the League with 108 (77 solo), but did only start half the Games. Both have 1 Sack, 1 FF and 1 FRec.

now who?s the better player, who would you pick if you could choose now?

just to bring our minds all the other BS on the 1st page.

Its hard to look past Harris simply because hes a Jet playing very very well. Be intereting to see him get a full year under his belt alongside Vilma , with hopefully the big NT be desperatley need. Then we'll see whos better.

Patrick Willis....I love Harris and he's going to be a good one...but living out here in CA I get to see and hear a lot about Willis and I've seen a good number of the games he's played in. One word comes to mind..."monster". As the 49'ers season went to crap he actually got BETTER. I watched the 9er and Vikings game...Willis destroyed A.P. He is the heart and soul and should win it. Also, he started the entire season.

From a pure football perspective Willis gets this hands down.

Harris by a long way IMO. He has only started like 6 games.

We got something really awsome with Harris. He is a big step in building a top defense.

Good to see you around mezz, the board misses your posts dearly. Willis has been great, but I really think if Harris had started from the beginning, he'd have better numbers than Willis right now. Still, each player can only play the cards in front of them, and both are going to be great.

I'll give it to Willis, like Mezz said, Harris has been terrific, but Willis has been an absolute beast from day one. Really though, these two are probably in the top 3 of best young linebackers in the game, so why even argue.

Harris but only because he's a Jet.

Willis is an assassin though. The guys injured like 4 players by just being a badass this year.

Could you imagine both of them inside in the same defense? I can because of Madden...

I haven't seen much of Willis - liked him out of the draft...but,

When Harris makes a hit - you can hear it on TV - POP! WHACK! He's like Batman out there...and I love him in the middle for Gang Green!

I would take Revis and Harris over Willis (just speaking to what it would have taken/lost to get Willis in the draft)

Willis is an unbelievable player, he's the best rookie linebacker I can remember. The arguement that Harris started less is kind of dumb, there is a reason he didn't start, he wasn't ready for the NFL as fast. Willis is better in coverage, he is the leader of that D.
