That makes me mad because since I was in the NY area, I was originally gonna get it while everyone else who didnt have NFL Network would had to have suffered all year long like I among MANY NYers did But why couldent the NY/NJ Area get A game like Skins/Bears when the DC and Chicago areas can get that and yet the one time the NY/NJ area gets an NFL network license game for, everybody in the US gets it. That isnt cool
totally agree. and this game on saturday probably won't even be a good game, unlike some of the earlier ones they showed. people really want to see the cheatriots run up the score on the giants backups?
This is the NFL caving from a threat from Congress, the same way MLB and the players union did about steroids a couple of years ago. Leagues and players are making so much money these days that they can't risk anyone actually looking carefully at all of their anticompetitive practices. Watch the NFL make nice with the cable companies over the offseason.
I have NFL Network already, so this wasn't an issue. This is probably the first game that I'll ever root for the Giants.
The proportions of this are plain out of whack. On Saturday night, for many of us, the game will play on FOUR networks. NFL Network will be running all-Patriots programming for the next two days, and SIX hours of pregame programming. This is nuts. I am glad, though, that the NFL found a way to jam it to the cable carriers.
GO PATS! All of you really need to put your rivalry aside for a game. This is your chance to witness history. You will be able to tell your kids you saw the greatest team to ever play the game. IDK about some of you but I wasn't around for the 60s Steelers, 72 Dolphins, 85 Bears, or 80's Niners (89 yes, but was only a 1 year). I even missed the Cowboys dynasty. Quite frankly being able to watch the greatest feat by the greatest team is something I am really looking foward to telling by kids about.
no, the reason it's not an issue is because you live in Brooklyn and the game was going to be on broadcast TV anyway. four channels, baby.
Here is a thought. If the writers were not on strike, would the NFL do this? I know Saturday TV is weak, but....
