Ive been saying for a while that cb is a need, but there dont seem to be many corners out there. I would love to have ty back, but i dont see it happening after the problems he had with the coaches.:eaglessuck:

i would much rather Andre Dyson for a 4 year contract over law.

Dyson is 27 and Law is 31 or 32 (i think)

Why would you want a corner who has 5 illegal contact calls for every INT he has? Makes no sense to me. Besides I believe the Jets have intrest in Andre Dyson.

I think its a mutual lack of interest. Mangini Im sure would rather get a young player to lock up the position for the next couple of years, and Ty Law certainly wants to go to whoever will shell out the most money, and this FO hasnt been loose about throwing money around so far.

I think Law is better but a lot of the coaches hated him- He didnt come to monday or wednesday practices, and during meetings they didnt even let Miller sit next to him because he was a bad influence because of "undisclosed actions".

Yeh that and he speaks in 3rd person, he is a good corner, maybe coming down of his prime, but his locker room actics are pretty bad, they made Justin Miller sit away from him in films.

There were a lot of reports in January about Law being a lockerroom cancer, and the Jets not wanting Law hanging around Justin Miller.

I figure it's time to let the young guys start playing. Both Miller and Strait should get a shot to play, both have shown a decent amount of promise.

id rather have younger blood in there besides law but he did give us the most exciting play in all of last year on his pick-off of brady returned to the house...that was awesome!

Ty Law would never agree to an incentive-laden deal after a 10-pick season - IMO. He's full of himself and will find his money with a team willing to spend it late in the offseason. There's no way he signs before June 1... again, IMO.

No doubt...Law will not be a Jet...he will wait it out until he gets a team desperate for a CB. Perhaps sometime after the draft.

Ty Law is nasty in Madden 06 and doesn't even get the penalties!

Seriously though, you make a good point. As good as he is, how many huge penalties were called on him last season? Is it really worth it?

Andre Dyson huh, that would be funny if this FO can finish the job that the old FO couldn't last year. I liked dyson ever since he was with Tenn. and was really disappointed when we didn't get him last year. The only question mark I have now is that why would seattle let him go after just one season? there has to be a reason why holmgren doesn't want him back. Regardless we have to make a move to bring in a guy that can take over for law.

Barret would be a fine cornor, if he would play the reciever. He has a great set of hands, he is always just 11 yds off the line of scrimage. It makes picking up 8 or 9 yds on 1st down pretty easy. I think Miller is going to explode in the NFL as well.
