Are the jets in the running for him in 2007, or whoever goes #1 next year?

I hope not, because hopefully we'll be better next year than we were this year.

Ryan Leaf is quite possibly the Biggest bust in the history of the NFL. How can you say Brady Quinn will be another Ryan Leaf? You could perhaps make an intelligent post, explaining why you think he is overrated...Not just saying he sucks.

We will not have the #1 pick next year. I would rather go QB this year and then get Adrian Peterson next year...

Lam Jones was pretty bad too.

As for your question I don't think you can look at next years draft yet. Say Brady Quinn breaks his arm or shatters his elbow then he's a question mark. Round 1 2 or 3 then? There is just to many different variables that can be thrown into the equation as to who will go first.

Lets see how our record is before we make an assumption of us getting the first pick.

I hope we draft one of the three QBs in this draft, just so I don't have to see thirteen months of Brady Quinn threads.

hopefully penny will be back to his self and we will be looking for a rb or wr cus those are areas we will need to adress. picking one of the qbs in the first round this year makes no sense, as we traded for ramsey and we are banking on penny. the jets should rebuild the line with brick and mangold and hope to get a rb like maroney or white with their other pick. a free agent or two wouldnt hurt either.

Forget Peterson I want Dewayne Jarrett... Calvin Johnson if Jarrett is off the board. Unfortunately we're all dreaming because we won't be as bad as the Bills, Packers, Texans, Raiders, Philly, Detroit, and San Francisco next year. I put us at about the 9 or 10 pick next year...

i think you're right, we will most likely be around the 10th pick barring any injuries or miracles. a miracle would be nice though

Nope, there is a 0% chance of us getting him. We aren't gonna trade up a shit load of picks to get him.

and thank god for that. what a joke, guy plays for ND, gets a pro passing system installed for him by a football genius and all of a sudden he's a top 5 pick. this guy is Aaron Rodgers not Carson Plamer. a solid prospect sure but the hype is just that.

I completely agree.I've been thinking the same thing for a couple of months. In 2004 as a freshman ,Peterson often looked like a man among boys. Kiper was prophesying that he'd be the #1 overall pick in 2007(not that Kiper's right all the time). Peterson is better than any RB in this year's draft except for Bush. That being said,I'm concentrating on this year's draft(like the Jets FO),since you never know what the '06 NFL/NCAA seasons will bring.

You people are never happy.......Every top 10 QB in the draft is overrated and is going to be the next ryan leaf. You know sometimes you have to roll the dice on players....as in every time you draft someone. Noone is a sure thing

Brady QUinn, barring any injury or decrease in stats, will go top 3 next year. I wanted him to go pro this year so we'd have a crack at him, but I can't see us drafting in the top 10 next year (hopefully).
