As a New York Giants season-ticket holder, Neil Mulcahy would love to see his team reach Super Bowl XLII for a rematch against New England. But as the person in charge of sports advertising sales for Fox, the network showing the big game, Mulcahy can live with the Green Bay Packers being the NFC representative against Tom Brady and the perfect Patriots.

?If you have Brady vs. Brett Favre,? Mulcahy said, ?it just matches itself up to be a huge rating.?

No offense to the Giants and their mighty New York television market, and the San Diego Chargers, New England?s AFC championship opponent Sunday. The Chargers may be the closest thing the NFL has to a mighty Los Angeles television market, but people within the sports television industry are practically drooling with excitement over what ratings a New England-Green Bay Super Bowl could bring.

So, do you really think any of these teams has a chance?? The NFL wants this to happen, so, the Refs will do there best to make it happen.

There was just a good article in one of the NY papers about the Giants drawing abilities. They don't bring people outside of Ny to their TV sets. GB does b/c it has Favre and their history, the NFL would love nothing more than the undefeated Pats against the Favre-led packers in the SB as that would clearly be the best draw they could get.

Yep, and this is what sucks about the NFL these days.... You can fully expect that if either Green Bay or New England is outplayed by their opponent, they will get 5 or 6 'lucky' breaks.... That doesn't always guarantee that they'll win, but it usually helps...

Anyone but the pats. If they make the superbowl I will not watch it. A friend has a party every year, so I will attend, but I'll be playing my Nintendo DS and watching commercials and not the NE Patriots.

I'm going to my rabid Jets fan friend Vinnie's house for the SB. A small gathering, but it's always a panic. I really don't want to see NE in this, but stranger things have been known to happen. Go Chargers and go Packers, you bet.

I'd much prefer the Chargers vs. Green Bay, because there's no particular hate-o-meter there. Giants vs. Pats? Holy Hell, where's the eyewash.

For stupid reasons all us JET/football fans have I would like the Pats vs. Packers. Packer victory, of course. One of my best friends is a Chargers fan and I couldn't stomache the shit I would hear. I HATE the Pats but their season is already in the record books. NO WAY do I want the Giants to go and I don't really hate them. It's a New York thing, I guess. So, Packers/Pats it is with a convincing win for Favre.
