John Lynch (not Kerry Rhodes) to replace Bob Sanders in Pro Bowl

i thought Rhodes was the alternative? what went wrong?

 

total joke. Lynch isn't close to the player Rhodes is.

 

2nd year in a row that Jon Lynch has beaten out Kerry Rhodes. So ridiculous. The probowl voting should NOT be done by fans, because for the most part, fans have no fucking idea what is going on in the entire league.

It's 1/3 fans, 1/3 coaches and refs, 1/3 AP... or something like that.

 

So ridiculous. I guess they voted Lynch in because this will probably be his last season.

Lynch stats:
TACK 59.0 | FF 0 | INT 0

Rhodes stats:
TACK 68.0 | FF 2 | INT 5

Even if you look at the more detailed stats Rhodes is better than Lynch in EVERY SINGLE CATEGORY.

The entire Pro Bowl should not be done because the whole thing is a joke

i remember the same thing happening last year and it was pointed out here too.

looking at the stats, its a terrible decision. totally ridiculous

 

I blame Tom Hicks for destroying any shot he had to succeed. American owners need to stay far away from the EPL. I don't know if Dubai will be successful but they have to better than Hicks and Co. This jackass can't even run a baseball team yet he thinks he can run the greatest football club in England. Disgusting......

So I thought that Rhodes was the first alternate, if that is the case, how does the second alternate or worst get to go over the first alternate? Did Rhodes get offered and then decline to go?

 

yeah, this guy can?t even cover a decent TE. The only reason he is considered a good player, is cuz he lays good hits on people. 0 FF don?t tell me that he knocked many guys out this year.

Every time a saw a Broncos game this year, i didn?t even realize he played.

Who votes this guy? Can?t be only Broncos Fans.

That is an injustice, he should get in over Lynch on picks alone.

 

The Pro Bowl is all about incumbency once you make it a few times. Rhodes will slide into the perennial pro bowl slot as soon as a spot opens up and then only injuries will dislodge him.

 

I'm happy that he hasn't made the Pro Bowl yet- don't forget that by making the pro-bowl it only serves to help the player and his agent when it comes time to negotiate a new contract. Plus, I wonder if the current contract has any escalations or incentives which would count against the cap if Rhodes were to be selected.

Meaningless game, more akin to a popularity contest which should be eliminated altogether...

 

I wonder if Cowboys fans have a different point of view on that.
