    I agree. While a McFadden would be exciting, a Gholston makes sense. Any great defense has an all-world linebacking corps. If we got Gholston we could be just passed the halfway point.

    i was always impressed with colvin's play with the pats.
    he always seemed to be in the middle of things.

    You make a good point. Matt Chatham's role on the team, while limited, was very important. But Colvin would likely ask for a large sum of money, Matt Chatham, on the other hand, was cheap (correct me if I'm wrong). Also, I believe Chatham only played one season before being put on the IR. I don't know how worth it it is to have depth when the guy and the bench go 1 for 1. So I guess if the price was right, this would be a decent deal. But again, we'd have to pay him guessing he's gonna make it as long as Matt Chatham did (not long at all).

    With his recent history, Colvin would likely sign a very manageable deal, with huge incentives for healthy time.

    A healthy Colvin is a lock starter at SOLB for the Jets, and boosts Thomas's production immediately.
